Plaza regocijo or "Cusipata" is the place where we will end or tour, is located only 1 block away from main square.

Communication was super clear, and pick-up was right on time.
Our guide, Maria, was the absolute best, sharing knowledge and advice regarding potential altitude sickness as well as the region and the different communities living in the mountains.
Our driver, Victor, was also super experienced and made the drive through chaotic mountain roads feel like a regular one.
Once at the start point, Maria provided us with walking polls. The hike up is about 2km with about 300 D+. Although the lack of oxygen made it challenging, our group of 4 made it to the top within 2h; just take your time and avoid talking too much as it will rend your breath short.
You will have the opportunity to buy snacks/coca tea at the start, around halfway to, and at the top.
Would 100% recommend going - the views along the hike as well as at the top are out of this world.
Do wear layers and bring a rain jacket; it is cold but you will feel warm as you go. We had clear skies and sun on the way up, and then it started snowing when we reached the top and all the way down.

Great experience! Included was hotel pickup/dropoff, round trip ride to and from Rainbow Mountain, breakfast/lunch, and our tour guides were amazing!

Me and my Bestie went on this tour on Mother’s Day 2024 and we had a blast! Anibal and the crew were so helpful and they were so knowledgeable. We was iffy about going on the tour with safety and all being that were women by ourselves but they made sure we were ok and we always stuck together❤️ I even got Altitude Sickness and Anibal was right there with me seeing it through and making sure I was okay at all times. I love that about him❤️ If you want to do the Rainbow 🌈 Mountain ⛰️ tour I suggest you go with these guys. THEY ARE THE BEST‼️ Not to mention they made sure we got to our flight on time back to Lima after the tour. They went over and beyond on this tour.

Great tour - very well organized. Two great meals and beautiful views along the drive to rainbow mountain that the driver stopped for to allow us to take pictures. The best part by far was the tour guides (Anabel, Angel, Lizardo) who were by far the nicest, most hospitable, most interesting guides we’ve encountered in Peru. Our guide even let us try his alpaca meat. It was a pleasure spending the day with them and they definitely put a smile on our face. Book this tour!

Rainbow mountain is a must see if you are staying in Cusco and I would highly recommend doing the trip with the Rainbow Mountain Cusco Tour Company. Anibal our guide for the day was exceptional. He not only kept us entertained with local stories and facts about the area but took so much care to ensure we all reached the top of Rainbow Mountain at our own pace. At 5,200m it is a challenge! He was funny, kind and also an expert at taking the best photos! There was nothing he didn’t know and we stopped a few times en route to enjoy spectacular views and to meet a herd of Alpacas! Victor our driver was also superb and made us all feel safe despite the zig zag roads. Thank you for a great day Anibal… memories made for a lifetime! 🫶🏻🌈🦙

Everything was good until there was a mistake in regards being dropped off at the wrong hotel and the tour guide made us walk back instead of dropping us off the front of the hotel. It wasn’t a far walk but just a little annoying from a long day of hiking.

Definitely worth booking! Anibal was our tour guide. He was friendly, patient, timely, and knowledgeable. His English was great. The duration to get to rainbow mountain was 3.5 hours. However, it went by quickly as we stopped for breakfast, the scenery was beautiful, and Anibal was very communicative. Anibal was very prepared for assisting me as the altitude was getting to me.
The tour was great at being responsive to questions prior to the tour and explaining what to expect, what to bring, and what not to bring.
The driver, Jaime was great as he got us where we needed to be on time and he mastered navigating through the challenging roads.
Overall, this trip was amazing, fun, and challenging. If you would like to visit the rainbow mountain, you should definitely book this tour and request Anibal and Jaime!
