This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: La Tigra, La Tigra, Province of Alajuela
The trail will go around the mirrored lakes to the frog sanctuary, which is an area dedicated to the regeneration and natural reproduction of frog species. Here you will discover a large amount of species such as the dart frog and the bull frog, the smallest and largest species in Costa Rica, as well as the spectacular Red Eyed Tree Frog, and the beautiful Glass Frog. After the tour, a delicious Costa Rican dinner prepared on a wood burning stove will await us. We will enjoy our dinner viewing the lights of the valleys of San Carlos. Afterwards we will return to La Fortuna.

What a fun mini adventure! Joseph was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and we saw so many interesting animals, plants and insects. The property, and the family who owns and hosts the experience was incredible, the food was amazing, and the tour benefits the environment with a very inspiring story. Thanks for a great night!

The tour was excellent - we saw several species of frogs (including poisonous dart frogs), snakes, sloths, and various insects. Kids enjoyed the tour , it was well organized and tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Amazing tour! Collected from out hotel by Kendry. 1-1.5 hour tour where we saw lots of frogs, a mum sloth with her baby, snail eating snake etc! Followed by a delicious meal cooked by a lovely family at their gorgeous home!! Very special evening to remember.

This was one of our best experiences in Costa Rica. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the experience felt intimate and personal. We shared a homemade meal which was wonderful, had great conversation and saw lots of frogs and insects! Highly recommend.

Enjoyed the night walk and seeing the frogs especially. The grounds were lovely and the dinner on the patio was simple but tasty.

Jasmine was a fantastic tour guide. To start, the meeting location was easy to find and a quiet convenient location to leave our vehicle. The drive to the start of the tour was enjoyable and entertaining. The walk through the garden and forest were beautiful. We were able to see many frogs, spiders, birds and even a sloth. Dinner was delicious and the family who prepared it was wonderful, we enjoyed some piano and singing by their son while we ate dinner. Would do this again if I return to La Fortuna.

This was a great experience for all, particularly the kids. We saw the expected, frogs and lizards, and were thrilled to see the sloth with baby and ocelot with its meal. Our guide, Harvin, was excellent. The meal was good, but it would’ve been nice to have some flexibility, particularly as it relates to the kids.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful with showing the group things in the rainforest, and with helping us take photos. The dinner was authentic and very delicious. The owner’s grandson played music and sang during dinner, and this was an added treat to the whole experience. I would definitely recommend that you take this tour if you have the opportunity. My friend and I really enjoyed it!!!

We went 40 min from la Fortuna to a small family property. The guide was very knowledgeable and we were able to see many jungle creatures. Afterward we had an excellent authentic Costa Rican meal prepared by the family. We had kids age 5-14 and they loved the experience and the food!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from either half of this tour, but was impressed with both. We saw several types of frogs, a wandering spider, bullet ants, and lots of crickets and katydids. Even a leaf mantis! Every group will have a different experience. We were also very lucky to see a sloth with her 6-day old baby before it got dark, that the family had been keeping an eye on for the last week, which was incredible! Our guide Jarvin made the tour fun and showed us how to set our smartphone camera settings to take excellent closeups of frogs and other insects, or would offer to do them himself.
The meal was also delicious, and very accommodating to the vegetarians in the group. Overall, a fun and enjoyable evening.
