We really enjoyed just sitting and watching the view and not worrying about the many curves. Our driver and guide, Eli, was great. My husband really enjoyed talking story with him and with a couple of the other people in our van. The views were awe-inspiring. It was a wonderful, memorable day.

We loved hearing the special stories of the area, as well as the hidden finds like the little lava tube cave at the black sands park. Thank you, Sean!

Amazing experience and our guide Shean not only told us history of the region but entertained us through whole trip
The only thing that I would improve it’s more time at black beach and turtle beach
Happy I didn’t have to drive the road to Hana myself

The black sand beach is so unique. The waves and lava rocks are such great combination. I like the sunbathing turtles and the surfers too.

Sean was a great tour director/driver. Made an effort to connect with all of us and remember specifics about each family on the tour. He did a wonderful job of explaining the history and anecdotal stories along the way. We were able to stop and see some of the attractions that we would’ve missed if we’d tried the drive on our own.

Really enjoyed this trip; it delivered what was promised; we had time to to have a dip in the waterfall, swim from the beach and see turtles. Good value, good guide, and great company from the other travellers.

The tour took us to beautiful places, the waterfall, black sand beach, turtle beach and Road to Hana itself were stunning. However, the tour guide provided minimal commentary and only at the beginning of the tour. He did not use a microphone so I could barely hear anything from the back of the van. After the waterfall (2nd stop) he stopped providing commentary and I did not know anything about where we were driving through or the stops we were making. This was not worth the $220 USD (nearly $300 Canadian) paid, as I would expect the guide to be educated and informative. It was a lot of money to spend for basically someone to drive you around. Also, lunch was a simple sandwich with chips.. nothing special.

The tour guide Sean/Shawn was amazing! Very personable, knowledgeable, hilarious, personable and great listener. He told us Hawaiian folklore, explained the meaning of Hawaiian waterfall names along the drive, made sure we were safe when coming back from our stops, laughed with us and overall provided a lovely day of touring with him.
The van was clean, food was good, drove safely and made sure all of us were comfortable with the AC in the van.

The sights were very nice but what made the tour VERY SPECIAL was our driver. I believe her name was Maru or Malu, apologies for spelling. She was nothing short of tremendous, sharing her knowledge of Hawaiian history and culture along the way. I cannot imagine there is a better guide in all the islands to talk about the important aspects of the tour and what it means to be a Hawaiian citizen. Thank you thank you thank you for an amazing experience !!!
