Pass By: Tromsø, Norway
After meeting in front of the Radisson Blu Hotel take the bus for a 25-minute drive by the nice coast of Tromsø to arrive at the destination, the Sami camp, where the reindeer and the rest of our guides will be waiting for you.
Stop At: Tromsø Arctic Reindeer, Fv53 1570, 9023 Krokelvdalen, Norway
Enjoy a 30-minute sleigh ride as the reindeer guide you around the valley and along the coast. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to feed 300 of these magnificent animals before entering the gamme for a hot traditional meal cooked over the fire. Finish the day by gathering around the fire to listen to Sami history, stories and joiking (songs).
Duration: 3 hours
Pass By: Tromso, Tromso, Troms, Northern Norway
Drive back to the city centre. The bus will stop at the same place where you met our guides at the beginning of the tour.

What a great trip! Loved every minute of it. Learnt so much about the Sami way of life. The lunch was tasty and feeding the reindeer was so enjoyable. We couldn’t do the sledding element of our trip as the ground was too icy, but we were refunded promptly for that, but it certainly didn’t detract from our visit. Really, really enjoyable day.

It was a very nice experience. Once in a lifetime! I wanted reindeer to fly! The Sami speaker was adorable
And I learned a lot about a culture I knew nothing about. Lunch was delicious. Very accommodating.

100% recommended. Feed the animals is a wonderful experience and the Sami explanation was good.

The staff were so incredibly friendly and very understanding with our two young children. The kids were so enthralled by the reindeer. Once in a lifetime tour!

Cold day but a great opportunity to learn more about Sami life directly from the Sami. Interesting experience feeding reindeer. Good food and warm inside.

Well put together experience by Tromso Arctic Reindeer. Gentle Reindeer Sledding, over only a short distance but made it suitable for all age groups. Loved meeting & feeding the Reindeer...there were some real characters! The Sami experience was excellent & made our day. The entertaining & informative talk by our 19yr old Sami guide who engaged us all informing us of past & present practices. So important to learn from history & about different cultural beliefs, dress & lifestyle. Great setting all sitting round on Reindeer hide covered benches with a roaring central fire in a big tent. Traditional Reindeer stew served was so delicious they generously allowed us a second helping! Great selection of gifts to buy onsite, with everyone so welcoming & helpful. In beautiful plateau setting surrounded by mountains. Good transport arrangements from Tromso.
