Clare was our tour guide. She was very professional and knowledgeable and provided a great experience. We would highly recommend this tour. The tour meeting place was at a nearby cafe (Cobra Cafe) which had great food (we had the soup of the day and a beverage) and also bathrooms (for 1 euro per person). Clare was on time and escorted us to the museum and gave a very good tour. The Rijksmuseum has not only many beautiful and important paintings, but lots of other very interesting items (very old dollhouses, a miniature recreation of a ship, etc.). The cafe has the best apple crumble with lots of wonderful whipped cream. It was a wonderful experience.

Clare was an excellent tour guide.. I love that she had the audio devices for us to use - definitely the way to tour this museum. She was extremely knowledgeable and we learned a ton during our tour. We would definitely recommend when visiting Amsterdam!

It was truly disappointing. We paid for 6 tickets and the guide had issues with her microphone. We couldn’t hear anything she said 90percent of the time. With today’s technology that is inexcusable. We would like a full refund!!!

Early arrival makes viewing paintings easier; our guide was a knowledgeable and engaging historian, who enjoys his work. My previous (2) visits were run(literally)-throughs, but I did rediscover in the gift shop, postcard depicting Jozef Isreals' Children of the Sea. Print of same hangs in my bedroom, reminding me of a photo of my three daughters in similar pose 55 years ago, Stories last; you lose your stories, you lose your soul.

I had an excellent tour with Clare. She included lots of history to explain the background of the Dutch society before getting to the masterpieces so that we would understand those paintings better. She gave us lots of time to see the special pieces. It was very crowded but that was not within our guides control. Recommendation: plan to spend the whole day! A two hour visit is not long enough.

Excellent knowledgable guide…made history come alive through the works of art. His great sense of humor and willingness to answer questions enhanced the experience. Everyone came away with a better sense of the time period, the historical significance of the works, and the artists themselves.
