Me and my mate Will did the Rinjani trek. Our guides were Gum and Will. Whole thing was amazing! Brilliant organisation.

Super recommend them. Although we couldn’t go ahead with the trek due to my husband getting food poison the night before, all the staff were very helpful and professional. We were driven to the hospital and everything happened really quickly with their help/translation. They paid for reimbursed the medical expenses and gave us some of the food they had bought for our trekking. We couldn’t get our money back due to having to cancel literally in the morning that we were supposed to go. Unfortunately we didn’t get too experience the hike + views, but the service beforehand was brilliant. Transfers to and from the city were also included. The accommodation was comfy as well. Would def recommend it!

Amazing experience. The coordinator answered all the questions timely, there was no worry about whole climbing itinerary. As other comments say, the course is hard for some people, but you can enjoy the wonderful view on the way and will definitely get satisfied when its all done. Food, climbing mountain, guide all were best. If you are wondering, this is the only choice you should take.

Great hike, but would not reccommend booking through TripAdvisor. Found out on our way down that we had paid more than double that of the others in our group, most of which we assume did not go into the pockets of the locals who helped us climb the volcano. Our recommendation is to book it once your arrive, and save the extra cash for tips.

We had an incredible time trekking to Mount Rinjani with Team Backpacker! From the booking to the trekking, Mis was so responsive on WhatsApp and was very patience in answering all our questions. Everything was arranged smoothly from pickup and drop off to Bangsal after the trek Mool our guide was incredibly patience with our pace. At no point he was rushing us and he was encouraging us along the way. We chatted in Indonesian and English while trekking getting to know each other and the mountain. He's very knowledgeable and experienced with the trail. He was so helpful with helping me descent in the tougher section too. I would have struggled a lot without his help. The porters were really friendly (and strong!) and made sure we were fed well. Breakfast was with fruits and we chosed omelette instead of banana pancake, lunch was with lots of vegetables and fruits, vegetable curry for dinner. We even had snacks once we got to the crater and they have set up the base camp, what a feast! We highly recommend Team Backpacker!

Great experience! Engaged TB for a 3D2N package to summit Rinjani. He was responsive and patient in answering my questions. The package was very comprehensive, covered everything you need during the hike and even after the hike (we took a speedboat to Gili Trawangan). They was also very helpful in my questions regarding other parts of my trip (nothing to do with the hike) Food was sufficient and nice! Lots of fruits and hot tea which helps in the cold weather near the summit. Water provided was also sufficient. Field chairs were provided on the private tour (this was uncommon and it pleasantly surprised me). The best thing is the tent and sleeping bags were of good quality and clean. The mattress was thick. This was unlike other hikes that I did Would 100% recommend!

We had a great time with Team Backpacker, everything was well arranged. They picked us up from the airport and had arranged the guest house for the night before we went on the hike. Our guide, Naf, and porters, Rina and Siang, did a great job. They were very friendly and had wonderful cooking skills. Naf was able to get a nice spot on the camping ground for our tent, so that we could see the sunrise with the best view possible.

The view is absolutely stunning and breathtaking. Admiring the galaxy with zero light pollution, and immersing yourself in the vast nature, what a life time experience! Some insider's hacks if I may: This 3D2N itinerary is more strength demanding than 2D1N or 4D3N options. Remember to pack a mini first aid kit, such as iodine and plasters just in case. Hiking sticks and gloves are very helpful when you come down the very slippery hill.

We had a great hike together with Yon as an awesome guide. The second day was challenging, as it was a lot of ascending and descending, but Yon was very supportive and let us both walk our at our won pace. The view were phenomenal and nature was beautiful. And the food! Wow, just impressive what (and how much!!) came out of that tent again every time. We were spoiled. I would recommend this tour everyone!

This was an incredible experience. The hike was super challenging, but the views were spectacular. Thanks to Moose and Earl (sorry for likely misspelling!) for being awesome guides. A few tips for others looking at this trip; - I'm relatively fit, but I struggled on this hike. I found this harder than the Inca trail, mostly due to the weight of my bag. On the Inca trail, porters carried your things, like your change of clothes. - Pack light. Really light. I hate the cold, so when I heard it gets super cold I packed 3-4 layers. Big mistake. 90% of the time it's T-Shirt weather. It's only cold once the sun goes down, and when that happens, you'll either be keeping warm by hiking (You leave at ~2am to make the summit by sunrise), or you'll have access to your tent for shelter from the wind if needed. A single warm jacket and beanie is probably enough. The sleeping bags were really warm. - Wet-wipes is one luxury I wish I'd brought. You'll get very dirty. - Have good hiking boots and hiking socks. I'd always hiked in runners, but bought hiking boots specifically for this trip with thick socks. Many got blisters on their feet; I didn't. - You'll need a head torch. You can rent one pretty cheap though. - Use hiking poles, or get the guides to cut you a good length stick to walk with. I'd never used them in the past, but on the middle day we did around 40k steps. My legs had no strength by the end of the day, so being able to use my arms to help was key. - Expect to see plenty of rubbish, including human faeces and toilet paper. It's disappointing that people don't properly bury it. Photos are often framed carefully to avoid showing the real experience. This isn't something I'd volunteer to do again any time soon, but I'm incredibly proud that I was able to do it and the sights definitely made it worthwhile.
