My son and I had a great experience. We added the supermarket tour prior to the cooking class and I can highly recommend it. Luiz was our enthusiastic tour guide and a chef, he explained a lot about all the local produce and products. My head was spinning from all the information but it was very interesting. This was followed by the cooking class (the space is upstairs btw). It was a small intimate group of 6 people. Everyone participated and helped with part of the prep and cooking, this included making our own Caipirinha drinks. We also got to sample various fruits and drinks not part of the menu. It was a whirlwind of fun activity, with chef Luiz expertly and patiently guiding us through it. Very enjoyable, very educational and very tasty food. Highly recommended!

Great experience. Started with the Supermarket tour which was way more interesting than expected. Luis learned us a lot about the local food and the use of the products. We tried some interesting brazilian fruits. The cooking class was great fun. Luis was really patient and involved. He explained everything well and gave some nice tips. In around 3 hours we prepared 8 dishes including the Caiprinha, he also gave a recipe for a non alcoholic version. We had great fun and the end result was delicious. Would really recommend.

This was a highlight of our time in Rio! We were the only couple there, so we basically got a private cooking class, and our chef Erika was fantastic. She was so friendly and laid back, and shared so much information with us about Brazilian food and culture. The food was delicious, and we've made several of the dishes again now that we've gotten back to the states! I am gluten free, and there was no issue - everything on the menu was gf already. Actually, this cooking class was really helpful for me. I learned so much about common ingredients and Brazilian food, that I was able to more confidently order from menus where gf wasn't clearly labeled in restaurants the rest of our time in Brazil. This was hugely helpful! I've done cooking classes in the US that are chaotic, high-energy, and feel like a whirlwind. This cooking class was the opposite of that. It was fun, interesting, and delicious. We were engaged the whole time, and enjoyed every minute of it. The time flew by! Also, there was an assistant chef who took pics while we were cooking and sent them to us afterwards. Really nice additional service :) we got to totally focus on the food.

This was a phenomenal experience. Chef Luis was our instructor. During the tour we learned so much about the traditional foods of Brazil, what region is they came from and so much more. We had the opportunity to taste some exotic fruits native to the country and other dishes to try during our stay in Brazil. I will most definitely try as many food options that I can during my stay. We had the opportunity to learn more about Caipirinha’s and how to make them. We were free to make our own during the class. I was also able to make one from my favorite childhood fruits from the market. The meal was prepared together with Chef Luis help. I learned so much and the meal was AMAZING.

Amazing! Joined the supermarket tour and we had a great time, with our chef explaining all about the local produce before the cooking class. The cooking class itself was amazing. Hands on experience and the receipes were really easy to follow and its all fun. Made our own drinks and there was unlimited supplies of them (you just need to make it yourself!) Yummy and great fun! Thank you!
