The Forum: surrounded by many important public buildings, and with its ruined temples, basilicas, and triumphal arches, the Forum provides insight into the daily life and priorities of the ancient city's inhabitants.
Villa of the Mysteries: it is famous for its stunning frescoes, especially those located in one room which depicts the initiation rites of the Dionysian cult. The vivid colors and detailed depictions offer visitors a glimpse into the religious and social practices of the time.

Overnight stay was in Visuvio Hotel with the most amazing views. We have to go back some day and stay longer in this hotel. Bus driver from Rome to Pompeii and van driver, Carmine (not sure of spelling) were the best drivers I've seen. Francesca, and Sasha were the best tour guides. Our tour guide in Amalfi needs to brush up on St Andrew of Amalfi Cathedral. She told us that the Jerusalem 2+feet cross was curved from only ONE mother-of-pearl which is impossible if she knows what is a mother-of-pearl. She also told us that St Andrew was crucified upside down, and when I said it must be a different saint, she corrected herself.

Very thoughtful arrangement, with hotel picked up and dropped off. Worry free. The program was full of fun, from the archeological site in Pompaii to the fun filling activities in Sorrento and Capri. This is the best way to cover so many areas in just two days. There were a lot of coordinations in this trip and handled by a number of guides. They are all professionals and very helpful. Highly recommended.

They toured inner city Naples, not Sorrento. The food venue was in the basement of a hotel with no windows, stark white walls, tile and ceiling. Loud, very few food options. No pasta was offered. Capri was the best part of the tour. We sat in the bay for several hours on a boat waiting to board a small rowboat to be taken into the Blue Grotto. Fortunately the weather was beautiful. The food and restaurant in Capri was great. We felt herded like a bunch of sheep during this entire experience.

The views were breathtaking. The organization was very good. Simona is the best tour guide so far. she was very nice, very caring, always checking upon us and ask if we needed anything, smiling all the time She was so lovely and gave us lots of good advices. Michaela was nice and very polite. Just in my opinion that this tour is overpriced. We didn’t go to the basilica on the 2nd day as written in the itenary and we were a group of 8, 4 of us went to another hotel that was very highly rated ($300/night) while our hotel was around ($100/night) although we paid the same amount !!!! For the price we paid, we expected more

The locations were great! I recommend that do not go with Carrani tours. For the price and a six hours drive, I expect the bus to have USB charger and WIFI. In addition, the tour was disorganized. The tour guide directed us to the bus to Rome (which we validated that the destination was Rome with the new tour guide). Then 30 minutes later, they checked the names and we were not on the list. Major issue, after provide our travel documents and they did a few calls the situation was corrected.

I want to start by saying that Sasha and Alessia were both fantastic guides and we had a great time with them in Pompei/Alessia helping us out in Capri. However, we were the only two people from our group returning to Rome from Capri at the end of the tour (the rest were staying on the Coast for longer) so they left us alone on Capri for another guide/group to pick us up. Our meeting time was at 4:00 at dock zero. No guide. I texted Alessia and she was great enough to provide me the new guides contact information. I texted the guide at 4:10 to confirm we were meeting him. He said they were twenty minutes out. Our boat was due to leave at 4:25 from Capri to Naples to meet our bus to Rome. The guide was not twenty minutes out but instead was about an hour away (he didn’t update us, no communication at all. Just showed up) We missed our 4:25PM boat…and then missed every boat until 5:55PM. The guide did not communicate with us at all, we had to constantly track him down. Once the ferry arrived in Naples from Capri we had to wait another 60 minutes for the bus to show up. Again, being told it was only 30 minutes away initially. By the time we boarded the bus it was 8PM instead of the original 5:30PM planned time to get on the bus. We got back to Rome at 11:00PM instead of roughly 8-9PM as stated in the itinerary. We had an early flight the next day so that was very frustrating. The whole situation could have been simply solved if the guide or Carrani had sent a text message to everyone to alert us they were running behind. Instead we had to be proactive and constantly ask for information. Honestly, I would rather have abandoned the return home and caught a ferry and a train from Naples to Rome myself and I wish I did at this time. I don’t think the guide even knew who we were or would have noticed if we did so. Pompei and Sorrento were very cool to see with Sasha. Would recommend passing on Capri. Beautiful but not a lot to see, eat or shop. Blue Grotto line ran ~3 hours. You take a 15 minute bus ride to the top of the island and have a lunch which was included but not good compared to all the other meals we had in Italy.

Fabulous restaurant on a charming side street, Da Edy at Vicolo de babuino 4, Rome, Italy, near the Piazza del Popolo and Borghese Gardens. We had a wonderful lunch for 4 adults and our 1 year old grandson. The food was authentic and delicious and the wait staff was happy to have a child in their restaurant. A must stop if you are in the area.

Pickup was on time. Driver and tour host were a good team. Picked up expert in Naples. He explained sights of Naples as we drove through. One stop for photos. Stopped for pizza lunch at Pompeii. It was good. Expert gave tour of Pompeii with wonderful information - it was incredibly hot and there is very little shade. Get your drinks and bathroom break before going in. 45 min to explore after guide was finished. At the parking lot we broke into different tours. My group switched tour guides and busses as we were continuing to Sorrento. It was a little confusing but only for a short time. Dropped off at Sorrento hotel with instructions for pickup next day to continue. Too tired / not much time to explore Sorrento. Dip in hotel pool, then dinner and we went to bed. Taken to docks in sorrento and passed on to another set of tour guides. Ferry to Capri. Boat to blue grotto. Back to Capri. Tour split into 2 groups to manage tour bus sizes. A lot of waiting around in Capri for our bus. Guided bus tour. 1 hour or so to explore before lunch. After lunch my group was left for 2 hours to explore and then find another tour guide to take us back to Rome. We were given instructions where to meet him. Our Capri tour guides were taking the rest of the group elsewhere. (This was a little confusing and nerve wracking as we didn’t have our own tickets to pick up our suitcases, or board the ferry, or return to Rome if we couldn’t find the new tour guide) A mix-up at the lunch location between the two guides meant our tickets were missing for a short while. It all turned out ok in the end, but we barely made it onto the ferry. Luckily we had found where our bags were kept and managed to get them released to us without our tickets. (Not sure how I feel about that). Bus back to Rome and the guide waited with us until a driver came to take us back to our hotel. All in all a good experience but the guide switching left us a little anxious and confused - more than I am comfortable with.
