Join us on the world-renowned half day Royal Gorge trip.
The Royal Gorge Region of Colorado is a rugged wonderland of scenic hills, plunging canyons, and swift moving water. Formed over millions of years as the Arkansas River cut into the rising granite of the Colorado Plateau, the steep canyon is more than 1,200ft deep and, in some locations, less than 50 ft. Wide. The broken, mountainous landscape makes it an ideal location for adventure seekers looking for new ways to challenge themselves in the amazing outdoors.
The class III, IV, (V) whitewater of the Royal Gorge features many exciting rapids such as Sunshine Falls, Sledgehammer, and the Narrows, just to name a few.

Dress for the weather. We recommend swim suits, shorts or synthetic clothing. Avoid cotton.
Secure footwear such as sport sandals are ideal. Although we provide river gear free of charge.

Absolutely the best experience! I have been twice now and the experience just gets better and better. Our rafting guide Zulu was amazing and explained everything very well! The photographer and medic support Drew and Alan were amazing as well! We felt safe in their hands! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I need to preface my review by saying I was extremely nervous—while I hike, bike and kayak regularly, I tend to shy away from more extreme activities. While Adam was not my guide (he was in the other raft), he provided the safety briefing for the group, and he knew I was nervous. But his instructions were clear and very reassuring and he made sure I felt comfortable. In the middle of the trip, he even checked to make sure I was doing ok and having fun! My actual guide, Drew, was amazing. He mixed his dry humor with interesting facts and stories about the local area, the wildlife, landscape etc. But most importantly, he was an expert guide, and after the first section of rapids, I was relaxed and had complete trust in him. The whole trip was outstanding—I laughed so much and had a total blast! If I can work it into my schedule, I plan on returning in June when the high water is running and I will definitely request Adam and Drew! 1000% recommend this rafting company!

We rafted at Royal Gorge in Canon City and had Jeff as our guide. Needless to say, having 5 women on their annual girls trip was a handful , but Jeff handled it like a PRO!!
We gave him a few laughs, but he gave us the raft trip of a lifetime!! If you are thinking of rafting the Royal Gorge I definitely recommend Royal Gorge Rafting and ask for Jeff!! So fun!!!!

We had a great time on this trip. The river is a blast, lots of twists and turns as well as rocks to navigate. Challenging but fun. Our guide Andrew was excellent, both in trip guidance and information about the river and surrounding areas. We will be back next year for the high water June trip!

Emile was a fabulous guide. He gave us a great experience on the river. It was both fun and challenging. All the staff were fantastic. Thank you Harley for the fantastic pictures and Slim for getting us there and back. This is a top notch operation, everyone is fantastic.

If I could give 100,000,000,000 stars I would! Super fun, super thrilling, great group of guides and workers. I’m coming back next year. We had Tim as our guide and he did a great job!!!! Everyone is very knowledgeable and most of all friendly.

The trip was so amazing and our tour guide, Nick, did an outstanding job sharing about the area and also giving our braver occupants a chance to do extra fun things like ride the bull and surf!
