This was a poor tour experience. We booked an English tour and the tour ended up being in Spanish and English, and the guide’s English was difficult to understand. She didn’t allow the group to spend any significant time in the main sanctuary of the church. During the underground part of the tour, she bypassed an entire section of educational displays. At that point we made a decision to separate from the group and take the time to visit the bypassed section. Then we went back into the church and took our time to absorb the beauty. We saw others from our group that did the same thing. The Sagrada Família was spectacular. Our tour unfortunately was not. The one good aspect was bypassing the line to get in.

This tour got us in when public tickets were not available. That being said, the tour goes quickly there was so much more I wanted to know and ask. Catalina was our tour guide. She was well versed but with a heavy accent, she was difficult to understand. Grateful to have been on a bike tour earlier to have had more insight about this massive project.

It was very poorly organized. A lot of people were on this single tour, and they did not provide whispers for us. The Sagrada Familia was very crowded, and I kept on losing sight of our guild. Not to mention, I barely could hear her.
I arrived at the check-in place on time, but many people did not. The check-in process took way too long due to the poorly organized organization. When we finally started the tour, it took more than half an hour. I had to cancel my next tour plan since the tour only very briefly and swiftly went through the place, and I really needed to check everywhere myself again. So, the process really wasted a lot of time, which is not ideal for my tight-scheduled trip to Barcelona.

Booked an English guided tour however it was a multi language tour, English and Spanish.
This distracted from the amount of information that the guide was able to provide. The guide just seemed to give an brief overview with little detail, due to having to repeat the information in a second language. About half the English speaker left as soon as 10 minutes into the tour, frustrated with the tour.

Knowledgeable guide, must see site and amazing architecture. For those that visit the tower beware the 504 steps coming down.

The Church was amazing. It is some place you wouldn’t want to miss. It was great to skip the line and go in a group.
Being fully transparent, the guide’s English was a little rough. We understand the difficulty of language. However, for what we paid, I would think they could find somebody with very clear English for our group.

While the Sagrada Familia itself is very beautiful, the tour left much to be desired. Despite being advertised as an English tour it was actually multi-language (Spanish and English). This effectively halved the information provided as the guide spoke to everything twice. It was also harder for me to focus with the constant language switching. Finally, the guide was also much more comfortable with Spanish and seemed to talk in more detail in Spanish compared to English.

Organisation and instructions were very poor - great difficulty in identifying meeting point , even Information booth staff had difficulty.with the many hundreds of people milling round a small notice in a top corner window wa all that identified location. The request to arrive 15 mins early was cancelled by the guide arriving 2 mins prior to the scheduled tour start. Photo identification was not needed or used.
Having said all this the guide was brilliant and the whole experience one to remember. His knowledge & communication skills were immaculate. 90 minutes of pure pleasure.
