After several trips to Salamanca & Hobart walking around not really knowing what we were looking at, we decided to book a walking tour. Peter was very informative & we enjoyed the tour very much. I would recommend this tour for everyone.

Amazing tour with Peter! He is thorough, knowledgeable, and courteous. His entertaining stories were illustrated by many old photographs, painstakingly collected over the years, which I appreciated very much.
Worth every penny!

Interesting and very informative walking tour. The use of historical photos was also very good as it enabled you to compare the past with the present.

Peter painted a detailed history of this area for us as we moved from site to site. He also shared a lot of up-to-date information as we saw buildings, parks and places of interest while learning about the people who have become part of the landscape.
We would thoroughly recommend this to anyone and did not find the walking strenuous.

Peter is a font of knowledge of the local history. His tour is fairly easy walking, some minimum uphill grades but my partner who has some mobility issues was able to handle the tour, which involved around 90 minutes walking. The tour takes you past some beautiful gardens, through some picturesque parks, and viewing some beautiful historic buildings.
I would highly recommend Peter's tour for anyone interested in the history of Hobart.
