Stop At: Historic Tours of America - San Diego, San Diego, CA
This 90-minute shore excursion is a fantastic way to see the best of the Bay and San Diego during your limited time in port. On an amphibious vehicle that drives both on land and in water, you’ll depart from Seaport Village, located on Harbor Drive at the Embarcadero.
As you travel along the beautiful bay by land, you will hear stories of early sailors and the history of the bay. You also will learn about the importance of the military in San Diego, home to several US Navy and US Marine stations. Pass by San Diego International Airport, dedicated to aviator Charles Lindbergh, just one of the many people you will hear about on your San Diego Seal Tour.
Then, you will splash down into San Diego Bay, where you begin the water portion of the journey. As the seal boat travels through the Bay, keep your eyes peeled for a chance encounter with a California brown pelican. A cruise through Mission Bay provides views of SeaWorld, Hospitaltiy Point and Vacation Isle. Quivira Basin is a playground for seals and sea lions, so don’t look away from the water for a second!
You will head back and land and return to your starting point via Harbor Drive, passing the Maritime Museum and cruise ship terminal along the way.

This excursion is located within a 5-minute walk to the cruise port, so you determine the time you return to your ship in San Diego port. Please allow yourself ample time to enjoy the excursion and ensure your timely return to the port. This excursion is not covered by our worry-free policy.

I was there with my son to celebrate his birthday. We enjoyed the excursion, the weather was great, and we saw many sea lions. Captain Cameron and 1st mate Bailey were fun!

First Mate Bailey was wonderful, so informative and very charming. Highly recommend this tour! Worth it and great if you have kids, or if you don't have kids. Very entertaining and informative and very fun!

Very nice tour with Captain Kyle and especially First Mate Salem - hugely informative and energetic tour guide, always happy to answer questions and bring the bay to life… and of course to see the wildlife!
