When booking this whale watching tour, I managed my own expectations thinking I may not see whales but I'd at least get to see dolphins, birds, and spend time on a nice boat. Not only did I do all these things, but I actually was lucky enough to see at least 10 or 15 different blue whales, some even from up close! Our guide on board was very knowledgeable about sea life and managed to locate the beautiful and gigantic creatures so we could get closer. The boat is also beautiful and very well maintained, and the staff lovely. I had pre-ordered a sandwich meal which was very nice, and there was complimentary water and snacks on board. All in all an amazing experience that I will never forget!

It was a wonderful experience. The ship America was beautiful. The staff was very helpful. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. She was excited to teach us and explain to us what we were seeing. We seen the beautiful and huge blue whales. I would do this tour again! 5 star for sure!

Troy is a very experienced professional in both sailing and marine exploration. Our excursion lasted over 4 hours. The highlight of our vacation for sure! The whales were amazing! We will be back for sure!

Awesome voyage - we had great weather, the staff were friendly, saw all the promised sea animals (THOSE WHALES WERE HUGE) and a beautiful way to spend Mother’s Day with my adult son.
You can BYOF (food) and they have adult beverages for sale - plus free snacks and soft drinks.
Everything exceeded our expectations!

We had a great time on The San Diego Whale Watching Cruise. All of the team are knowledgeable, friendly and happy to answer questions during the tour.
We saw plenty of whales and other interesting sea creatures during the time we were at sea.
The yacht America is a beautiful vessel and it was a pleasure to be onboard.
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting San Diego - well worth it.

Seeing whales in the wild is on my bucket list and I can now check it off. We saw a fin whale which was a fantastic experience. We also saw several pods of dolphins and many sea lions. The entire crew was so knowledgeable and attentive making sure everyone was well taken care of.

Awesome trip! The ship was great, the sightings fantastic! Saw several fin whales, including mom & baby! Crew did a great job to get us near whales and spent a fair amount of time to get spectacular pictures. Highly recommend.

Fabulous sailing ship, fabulous crew and all round fabulous trip. Saw Fin Whale making several feeding dives, pods of two different types of dolphins who stayed either side of the ship for quite some time. Then there were sea lions, pelicans and even a submarine!!!! Amazing experience, would thoroughly recommend.
