The date you choose at checkout will be the date your Alcatraz Tour is confirmed. After purchase, please email us to confirm your selected Alcatraz visit date, please do this as soon as possible. This must be done no later than 10 days before tour date.

The Muir Woods Tour departs at 9:00AM and 1:00 PM from the Big Bus Tours Visitor Center at 99 Jefferson St, San Francisco, CA 94133. Please arrive 20 - 30 minutes before your departure time to allow time for check in & bus boarding.
Please provide each passenger’s first and last names as they appear on Photo ID, as well as anyone’s age, that is under the age of 18 marked next to their name.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 50 travelers
Confirmation will be received within 48 hours of booking, subject to availability

The person that got all the people ready for the tour is awesome. The tour driver was great he had a lot of experience. Great tours. Had no problem. Thanks for a great service.

Wish could have spent longer at Muir woods that was the only downside. Everything else was perfect. Had a great driver. The woods are beautiful.
Check in with Big Bus tours when you get to San Francisco as they booked my Muir Woods tour for a different day than what was on my ticket.
Other than that it was a great day out

Took Big Bus to Muir Woods. "Lester", our driver, was fantastic. Drive safely, showed us and talked about many places along the way, very friendly and overall helpful. If you go on the Big Bus Muir Woods tour, I highly recommend him for your driver!

Be warned that you will receive many emails, texts, and your YouTube will be filled with Viator commercials if you use Viator. The trip itself was run by Big Bus Tours and they did a great job.

Good on get-on-get-off tour. We feel we got our money's worth. Not too happy with Alcatraz/Muir Woods next day. We had what we were told was a confirmed reservation thru tripadvisor. We checked in the day before and were told our tour trip time had changed. Possibly. We couldn't understand what the incompetent staff was telling us. As a result, we were at the pier 2 hours earlier than we needed to be the next day! Yes, our time had been suddently changed. This put us in a bind. We barely had time for lunch between Alcatraz and Muir Wood. I am partially disabled, and the tram going up to the top of Alcatraz was full, so I had to walk. Worse was walking back down. The steepness of the ramps put almost unbearable pressure on my joints. I was almost in tears by the time we made the outgoing boat. Apparently, there was no tram down, however. More info on what to expect on this tour would have been helpful!
Have to say the boat staff were great, tho.
Then the bus going to Muir was very narrow. The A/C was out, on a very hot afternoon. Not much fun squeezed in next to your neighbor under these circumstance. The tour guide was outstanding, however.
Would hesitate to use either tripadvisor or Big Bus again.
