Itinerary
Meet with your instructor in Ancon, then quick transfer to the dune entrance in the local community of Villas de Ancon, where we will start the activity by hiking to the dunes (15 minutes).
In the dunes after a brief of equipment usage and basic stance. We will go trough a "bunny heel" to get the breaking technique right, and from there crushing different slopes from green terrain to blue terrain of dunes. With some time for footage and sharing with the locals. This experience gives you the best of our unique desert landscapes and introduces you to the world of sandboarding.

Loved the experience to sandboard in the desert. We were the only ones there, so it felt special. It was well organised and Rolo took the time for us. Both the driver (Alberto) and Rolo (instructor) were very friendly. Also they took a lot of photos and videos for us. Recommended off-the-beaten-track tour!

Rolando Huamani was our sandboard instructor & Frank Tello was our driver. Both very professional & knowledgeable. Beside the picturisque dunes, they both made this experience unforgettable. We got picked up on time at our airb&n, and had a few lessons on our first day. They set up the camping space and made our dinner (hot dogs) and calientitos ( warm pisco drink). We went on a night walk through the dunes with only the moonlight, and were able to descend from a dune on our boards at 11 pm with just the moonlight and the jeeps light. Next day we had coffee and bread & continued our lessons descending from 2 dunes and headed back home. IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING & UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE !!! Also, Rolando took really cool pictures & videos.

Mi parte favorita fueron las caidas, fue bastante divertido y aparte no hay forma de salir lastimado. Mi consejo para los proximos visitantes seria que vayan bastante descansados ya que el deporte requiere de mucha energia.

Increíble, las sesiones de Sandboard fueron alucinantes y el equipo de Desert Expeditions son super profesionales. Muy contento con mi visita, súper chevere practicar este deporte sin tener que salir de Lima. Super recomendadísimos, regresaré muy pronto 😍
