Great private tour. We saw so much. We even got to experience using the metro. We were able to walk at my father’s pace without feeling rushed. Had a nice lunch and great conversation with our tour guide Joseph. Highly recommend Joseph and this private tour. Remember to tip your tour guide for all of their hard work to make this tour a fantastic one!

Franco was an amazing guide with an incredible grasp of history and culture. He met us at our lodging and then tailored the tour to location and interests. He happily answered the hard questions about history and showed us his city. Santiago is much smaller and less vibrant than comparable cities like Buenos Aires, but it was incredibly modern and filled with things to see. Instead of coffee, Franco took us to try Mote con Huesilla, which was delicious. Lunch at the seafood market was also tasty. If you’re interested in history, culture, architecture, and food — this is a great tour for you.

Walking tour guide Franco took us to all of the great sights in Santiago. We rode the funicular to the Immaculate Mary statue, and we rested for a while at a restaurant sampling the Mote Con Huesillos peach drink. Then we walked all over downtown Santiago, the Forest Park, New York Avenue, The Fish Market, where we had lunch and tried a sample of the Earthquake drink with pineapple sherbet, then we went to the Plaza de Armes, Les Mondes, while ending up at Constitution Square. Franco was funny, knowledgeable and gave us a great value!

Romy was an excellent and very knowledgeable guide as well as being a delightful companion for the day. Although this was a long tour, it was not at all arduous and the pace was very manageable. I felt as if I gained a really good understanding of the city.

Joseph our tour guide arrived at the hotel on time and reviewed our itinerary asking if we wanted to modify or add any attractions. The day was filled with visiting every site available from visiting Santa Lucia Park which have the remains of the original Spanish fort to riding the Funicular to the top of San Christobal Hill to look out upon the entire city. A cable car ride down and a stroll thru an elegant neighborhood to the subway gave us a real taste of what it is to live in this city. We saw all the government buildings on our way to lunch at a restaurant by the local fish market. The lunch was absolutely the highlight of the day including a "Pisco Sour" (the national drink) and a meal fit for someone arriving after a long walk. This was followed up by a stop at a local bar/restaurant for our "terremoto" drink which was in an area off the tourist track which was fun and exciting. We always felt safe with Joseph as he was ever watchful and steered us away from any potential problems. The day ended back at our hotel, tired but elated with the experience. I would highly recommend this tour but bring comfortable shoes.
