Good experience to view some popular Mt Fuji spots, a bit pricey but transportation and guide George were really professional and overall went very well.

I think overall this tour is really great, it’s well organized and the spots were amazing. Our tour guide was also very good and did a great job giving us some background and facts about Japan. The only minor issue I had was with the first stop. The way to get to the top requires folks to to do quite a climb and if you in any way have mobility issues or suffer from leg/hip/foot issues, most likely you won’t be able to do it. It’s about 400 steep steps. Or you can take a trail that loops up but it’s still a bit of a walk. I don’t think the advertisement is clear enough (it just says it requires a bit of climbing) so I would just suggest making it very clear that it can be a tough climb to see the view. That being said, make sure you have a solid breakfast because that first stop will require it! Other than that, it was actually a really nice tour. Lunch was my favorite!

Everything was great. Great dinner included with the price. Great views. George our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. One recommendation is to bring cash for snacks and souvenirs at every stop the bus makes there’s something to buy.

Fantastic weather and clear sight of Mt Fuji made this day an unforgettable one. The organization at the meeting point was good, though there were a few tours starting at the same time they have been quite well organized. The guide itself was sweet, even though he could’ve provided a few more information. And also some of the stops were a bit too touristy trap style (you can buy this and you can eat that). Just a matter of whether you do it or not. Nevertheless, you had scenic views of Mt Fuji the whole time

The actual mountain was beautiful. Our guide however did not explain anything. If I had spent an hour researching Tokyo I would have give a much better presentation and history of the area. The only thing she could say was that things were beautiful. Her English was not that bad; just no information. We could have hopped on a bus ourselves and saved the money.

I usually choose to travel individually, however when I booked this trip fairly last minute during the Golden Week the highway bus tickets from Shinjuku to Five Lakes Areas were sold out and it seemed like a good alternative. It turned out to be a great decision - we got a great sample of the Five Lakes area with just enough time to enjoy by ourselves at each spot. I really liked our guide, George, whose commentary was both informative about the history and geography of the area, but also entertaining and personable. George also did a great a job managing time and made sure we could both enjoy the views on our own but also sample Yamanashi products. I was most pleasantly surprised by the ancient thatched roofs village, Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba, which had evocative atmosphere and picturesquely framed the view of Mt Fuji while remaining quiet during the peak of the Golden Week. One aspect we were lucky on - the visibility of Mt Fuji was perfect and I think my experience would be different with bad weather as most of the trip focuses on just enjoying the views of Mt Fuji from different places. If I had one suggestion it would be to upgrade the bus to one with a toilet as the time spent in traffic can be quite long during peak season.

Absolutely not worth it. Far away, a long trip to stop in a parking lot to get a picture of the Fuji, and buy some souvenirs. The stop at the village is also for kids activity, the lunch has poisoned one of my family member, the guide did not spend a word to talk about Japan. We were influenced by the guide to go back to Tokyo by train as by bus it would have taken 5 hours. Costs of these train trip 70 euros (3 of us). Never again
