We had so much fun with our guide and his dog! It was plenty of time to explore all the parts of Piana, Scandola, and the cute Girolata village or fishermen and shepherds. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic scenery. The trip was very reasonably priced. The boat itself was one of the smaller, faster ones, so was less sedate than some older folks might prefer (we loved it). It was well piloted by the charming young captain. This would be 5 star review but for the fact it was advertised as having English commentary when it did not - our French was only good enough to understand outline details of what was being said about the beautiful scenary that we were shown.

There are a confusing number of different boat companies in Porto, all offering similar trips. We wanted the 3 hour sunset cruise around Girolata, Scandola and the Piana Calanches, and eventually picked Porto Marine Emotion. Brilliant decision. Michael was knowledgeable and hilarious and although most commentary was given in French, he always made a great attempt at English too. His boat skills were superb. The scenery is unsurpassed (I'm now even considering a GCSE in geology) - and we even saw flying tuna too. Book it. Definitely.

We took "Le Tour Complet", which was a really nice and varied trip. Started with a RIB boat trip towards an isolated sea town where we could explore for about 40 minutes. This town with just a couple building and huts had the feeling of a pirate cove. Then the tour continued by RIB boat towards the Scandola Nature Reserve and Calanches de Piana, with some nice views and sufficient time to take pictures and enjoy nature. The trip ended with the option to swim near Calanches de Piana. We booked directly through the company's website, and the booking there indicated a 8:30h start, while actually it started at 9h (as it was indicated for those who booked through tripadvisor). Minor thing for a really nice trip and host.

Very fun trip with Micka, high speed between the waves but always safely! Outstanding landscapes and detailed explanations by our guide, includes both history and science, highly recommended.

The captain didn’t speek English even though the reservation said he did. So we missed most of all communication including the safety instructions and the excursion program. Extra swimming stop and stop at Girolata were not necessary for us, would be better without. The views during the boat tour were beautiful though.

We choose this tour because it is with a quick zodiac boat with only max 12 people on board. A more personnel touch and the trip on the sea to the several highlights is way quicker (the boat has 600 horsepower and flies over the water and therefore you have less problems with the waves). The sea itself was quite calm. The trip was also one hour earlier (8 am instead of 9 am) because later on the day there would be more wind a large waves. The captain Mike is a funny guy that speaks both French and English. That also counts for everything he tells about the surroundings. First stop was Girolata, a village only accessible with boat or on foot. There was a stop of 30 minutes to walk through the village, and walk up to the top of the village near the small castle to have a nice view. Next we went to Scandola which can only be seen from a boat. This unesco nature park can’t be entered otherwise. Scandola is astonishing. The colours of the volcano rocks, the shapes, just beautiful. Mike put some nice background music on and also drove between the rocks to get the best views. Next stop was calanches the pianes around 14 kilometres further away but with this boat it only took a little more than 10 minutes. Again the calanches are amazing, totally different from the seaside. Mike drove through small openings, natural bridges and even through a cave. After that we had a swim stop. Altogether the activity was around 2,5 hours and worth every euro. Must do when you are in the vicinity.

Great trip and amazing friendly guide (Michael). We took quite some boat over the two weeks we stayed in Corse but the kids kept reminding us how Michael was the best guide :)
