Highly recommend this tour if you have a limited amount of time in Norway. It was beautiful and so well planned. Itinerary was perfect and easy to follow. I would also recommend the sleeper train. I was rested and ready to go the next morning..thanks to the restful sleep!

The most memorable parts were the train ride from Oslo to Myrdal especially when close to Myrdal up where the snow fields are. Also the cruise was great- very beautiful. The Flam railway was interesting but would be better in summer rather than winter. The bus trip and train to Bergen were a necessity but would also be much nicer in the summer. Also the program was easy to follow and connections smooth. No crowds this time of year so could take it easy.

The amazing scenery and the ease of all the connections. It was a spectacular and relaxing journey as there was minimum walking and my 87 year old mother also found it very scenic and relaxing.

A relaxing way to see the beautiful sights in a short time. The step by step directions made it very simple to navigate. We only had three days and this was the highlight

Loved the Flam train and fjord cruise! The night train with the sleeping car was great.
The digital ticket process was cumbersome but in the end worked out.

I was initially going to opt for a 2.5x in price guided tour but so glad I went with this option
The directions are extremely easy to follow with no experience with any of the Vy train or buses in Norway. I went in September and there were a couple hundred others doing a similar trip, if not also on the same journey, so it’s hard to get lost - you might see the same faces the entire day
If there are any delays, do not worry since transportation is held for all connections! Good if you’re running late, kind of sucks if you’re waiting for a delayed arrival. This also led to the fjord tour being cut short by 30 mins and it became a 1.5 hour tour.
The scenery on the train wasn’t as scenic as expected. There were three 5-10 minute stops to take pictures, but again, delays since passengers took their time getting back on board
I would highly recommend also staying the night in Bergen instead of taking the train back to Oslo; I only had around 1.5 hours (after delayed train arrival) to explore the town and most eatery options closed by 10pm

We loved this self-guided tour. This was really nothing more than having someone else buy you train, bus, and ferry tickets but it was nice to not have to worry about coordinating the timing since there are a lot of transfers. The communication from TripAdvisor was great. They sent instructions ahead of time and contact us before the trip to make sure we have everything we need.
The views from the train and ferry were absolutely amazing. The only reason for the 4 stars is because we did our tour on a Sunday and by the time we got to Bergen, everything was closed. It was still nice to walk around the town but I wish we would’ve gotten a heads up instead of being a little disappointed with the “grand finale”.
We’re also so glad we opted for the sleeper car on the train ride back to Oslo. It was so nice to be able to lay down and sleep after a whole day of traveling.

You get a full day of fiords, that’s for sure. 4 hours train through countryside and into mountains, then short awesome train down mountain by falls, onto 2 hour boat through fiords, then 2 hour bus through fiords, and another train to Bergen. I’d recommend fishme restaurant on warf. 7 hour overnight train gives about 2-3 hours sleep.

Great itinerary, all very well timed and organised. Tickets were sent immediately after booking so we had peace of mind well ahead of our trip.
The train journey from Oslo to Myrdal had absolutely stunning views and was an unexpected highlight.
The fjord cruise was amazing and made all the travel time worth it.
Only docked one star as the night train from Bergen back to Oslo had very uncomfortable seats - definitely worth paying extra for a sleeping compartment if this option is available.
