Visit: El Viejo Almacen, Balcarce 799, Buenos Aires Argentina
When your cruise ship docks, your driver will take you to San Telmo, the oldest neighborhood in Buenos Aires and the birthplace of tango, where "El Viejo Almacen" (The old Store) is located.
The building where the tango house is located dates back to the end of the 18th century, more precisely to the year 1769.
In 1969, Edmundo Rivero turned it into a "Temple of Tango" and from that moment on it became the obligatory rendez-vous of the best expressions of citizen music.
Great exponents of tango passed through its doors: Aníbal Troilo, Osvaldo Pugliese, Roberto Goyeneche among many others, showed their talents and were applauded by countless personalities including kings and queens of Spain, Presidents of different nations of the world and many others who made possible that the fame of EL VIEJO ALMACÉN transcended beyond our borders.

The show itself was amazing hence the 5 star review but the dinner was far from amazing with some of the dishes close to inedible. The staff were pleasant but we really did not enjoy the meal. Would recommend the show without hesitation but perhaps have dinner elsewhere first and just book in for the show.
