Visit at the Sunnmøre’s oldest church .The church was originally built as a private chapel for the powerful Giske Family in the 1100s. Outside photo stop. No admission fee for outside visits.

Stop At: Alnes Lighthouse, Stiftelesen Alnes Fyr, Alesund 6055 Norway
Trough the underwater tunnels we will get to the small village of Alnes - surfers paradise. Opportunity for great view of the rough ocean right in front of you. There will be possibility to buy a coffee & snacks at Alnes Lighthouse Cafe.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Aksla Mountain, Alesund 6003 Norway
Enjoy magnificent view over Ålesund City and surrounding islands from the highest point in area. Great opportunity for fantastic photos. Outdoor visit.

The tour was very good at letting you know where to meet. It was a headset that you wore to hear the highlights. It made a couple stops where you could get out and look around. We had a rainy day so it was nice to be on the bus.

Very disappointing, the lack of interaction and knowledge by the driver who just picked you up and dropped you off at the locations and told us to listen to the headphones, which is you wear hearing aids like me was not useful at all!! The lack of interaction was disappointing especially when exploring such a beautiful destination. It's essential for tour operators to provide informative and engaging experiences to enhance the trip, and it seems like this excursion fell short in that aspect.

Terrible expérience, the bus never showed up to pick us at the pier between the bus terminal and the pier as per instructed upon receptof tickets.
We phoned the tour operator but no answer, we phoned Viator and talked with one of theor agent who then tried to phone the tour operator without any luck either.
All 8 cruise passengers were left stranded at the pier for 90 minutes!
Do not book this tour, I am requesting a refund!

The tour was very enjoyable. The tour guide was very informative and pointed out many scenic areas along the way. All the stops provided beautiful scenery and views with good descriptions from our guide

The driver was late leaving, because waiting on a late ship. Therefore, he drove a little fast trying to make up time. The automatic recording in the bus did not explain where sites were (ie on the left or right). The bus was cramped.

The views were spectacular! The trip was a bit too rushed. Wish we had a few more minutes at each stop, especially at the ancient church (first stop). It would've been nice to be able to walk around the church and the very quaint streets around it!

Unfortunatly this wasnt so great, no live guide, only a driver and a digital guide. the digital guide was not synched with the views. Nice views , I would skio the church and go directly to the lighthouse. will not recomend this tour.

The driver/guide was not very knowledgeable and did little to make the experience more enjoyable. Really, the whole itinerary seemed very “underwhelming.”

Pros- 3 stop tour that provided a short tour of the area. Giske church outside only, Alnes lighthouse which we enjoyed climbing and seeing the views, and Aksla viewpoint where we left the tour and walked down the steps, enjoying exploring the city on our own from there. Cons-pre-recorded narrative on headsets while easy to hear and understand, did not provide much personal interaction with the guide. Also, could not enter the church. Overall a good way to get around and see things quickly, and get to the top of the hill. On a cruise, we really enjoyed taking our time walking down and exploring the area during our one day in Alesund.

Ride thru 4 tunnels to outlying islands. Driver did little to none communicating.
He left us at final attraction telling us we only had to walk down stairs & walk to our ship. At most 25 minutes. Well he did not tell us it was a steep 15 minute walk uphill first followed by another 15 minute walk to reach the down staircase of over 430 steps!!
