Itinerary
Meet us at Thingvellir National Park, about 50 km from Reykjavik. Once you have met your PADI divemaster certified guide, he or she will be going through the procedure and safety measures of your tour. After, you will put on your gear and head to an exotic underwater canyon/fissure, Silfra, created as the continental plates drift apart at a rate of about 2 cm per year. Silfra is a freshwater fissure where you can see at least 100 meters ahead of you. The water here is so clear and pristine it feels like flying. The approximate time in the water is around 40 minutes. Before leaving you'll have a delicious hot chocolate prepared by your guide for the day.
We do have the option to pre-book a wetsuit on another listing. Booking a wetsuit is recommended for people who want to have the chance to dive down or who are scuba divers without the required certifications for the scuba dive. For the wetsuit it is recommended that you are a confident swimmer, if you are not then the drysuit is best for you. To cater to everyone's desires we are the only company that has wetsuits and drysuits allowing them to be in the same group.

It was an absolutely exhilarating experience to snorkel in between the tectonic plates! It was also the first time I did an underwater activity, which was the cherry on top 😌 Furthermore some serious kudos to Dory, thanks for being such a great guide! Enjoy your beer, you earned it ;)

What a wonderful and unique experience! The water was crystal clear (and even drinkable, apparently - but we didn’t test this claim!) My husband and I are keen year-round open water swimmers so we opted for the wetsuit option to give us a big more flexibility - and we were glad we did. They were 7mm so plenty warm enough, although too buoyant for any diving! Dory was a perfect guide - knowledgable, clear and enthusiastic. We loved every minute. It was the highlight of our trip 💕

This is a must when you visit Iceland and are in the Reykjavik area. The view on the drive there are amazing. And when you finally get into the water, the view are even better. The dry suit keeps you dry and warm in the icy cold water. Our guide, Asier, was awesome and a super nice person.

Our guide Arnold was awesome! It was a memorable experience and I’d definitely recommend. The national park is beautiful and the water is so clear that you can see through to the bottom. Even if you’ve never snorkeled before, I would recommend!

We had a great wee trip with Anil as our guide and just one other couple in the water with us. Instruction was clear and so was the water; WOW. That clarity! The dry suits keep you toasty and you will soon forget the fresh glacial cold water on your face. Just wriggle along in the current and enjoy the experience.

Our guide Luis was ingenious: helpful and with humor. The equipment proved to be perfect, not a single moment where I felt cold. And the snorkeling trip was one of the most colorful water events, an amazing landscape in blue and orange.
I'd recommend booking an early trip at 9am, to have the Silfra split all for yourself!

what an amazing adventure and for anyone worried about the cold, don't be as it's absolutely fine (this coming from someone that suffers with cold hands!).
Had the pleasure of being escorted by Kevin who tool plenty of time to make sure everyone was fitted out correctly and took plenty of time during the excursion for photos and to give any information.
well worth the money and the team were highly professional throughout.
