This tour was outstanding and we highly recommend it! We have been to the Great Wall twice previously but this experience was totally different. We only had a short 8 hour stopover in Beijing. Our driver was waiting exactly where we were told to wait. Although his English was limited, we were able to communicate through an app on his phone and he was very friendly. There were some snacks and water waiting in the car for us and he told if we were tired, we could sleep and he would wake us when near. He was a very safe driver. He walked us to the entrance and helped us purchase our tickets and then waited approx. 4 hours while we explored the most beautiful little town and had the most amazing views of the great wall all lit up. It was truly like a fairy tale village as the lights came on and the sunset - as it was Winter it wasn't very busy, although we would imagine in Summer it would be. Unlike other areas of the Great Wall you are not just dropped off and the wall is there. You must walk through the village (approx. 25mins) and then catch a cable car up to the wall and then walk along a narrow track for another 10 mins to get to the wall, but it is well worth it!
