First of all they changed the time from 8 to 9:30. They said it was the Vatican but that didn't seem to be true since so many others were going in. We were met with rude people behind the counter and they could care less about our business. Here is a sticker , get outside. I would never use them again. Don't call it a tour cause it is not. Miss leading advertising. Never again. I used city wonders in Vince and will again. Not these people. I am going to tell booking.com about them.

Wouldn’t book through Viator again. They tried to change my booking to a different time and told me it was ‘the Vatican who said this’. I refused and asked to cancel, they wouldn’t refund and said I had to change due to the tour even though I’d only booked entrance tickets. Had to send a picture of my booking in for them to accept it was in fact just entrance tickets and on the day of the arrival they had 2 people not 3 booked and were adamant I was wrong even though I had booking confirmation of 3 people.

We thankfully had a Rome Vatican City miracle and met Milton who managed to secure us a very last minute ticket! As we were going just before the airport he did everything to secure me managed to get in and Que jump. We really appreciate it as we were going to miss out if wasn’t for these guys. The museums were very well laid out and captioned, with many amazing treasures. However, there were too many people in the Sistine Chapel, which made it very noisy.Ca the numbers be better regulated somehow?
It was good to be able to guide ourselves around, so we could enjoy things at our own pace. The snack bar and the gardens were lovely.

This is NOT a guided tour. This includes tickets to the Vatican and an individual that gets you in the group entrance.
When booking this tour the reviews mentioned how great and knowledgeable the guides were which is why I booked this experience. It's my fault that I didn't realize this is not a guided tour because I relied on the comments and missed in the description that is said self-paced.

One person had been added to our reservation months ago and had to pay Rome Tours ticket office the day of. They would not accept a credit card payment only cash. Suspicious!
David, Our guide at the Vatican, was the worst tour guide we’ve ever had! He kept criticizing and speaking ill of women, talking about his wife, and how great he was. We had an elderly woman in our group, and he kept rushing all of us! He would not give us a five minute bathroom break during our entire two hour tour.

While a bit pricey, the ability to skip the line was worth it. The ticket pick-up location was easy to find and the guide escorted us to the appropriate entrance, saving us a lot of time.
