Next we admire the heart of Venice – St. Mark’s Square, once pronounced the “finest drawing room in all of Europe” by Napoleon. With Skip the Line Access we’ll get straight inside St. Mark’s Basilica, saving precious vacation time that would otherwise have been wasted in line. Marvel at the diversity of Venetian culture, where eastern architecture and western design have blended to create a structure with an onion dome, before following your guide through the beautiful frescoes inside the basilica.
After the tour, at your own expense, you can also get the chance to climb up to the first floor terraces, which offer beautiful views over the piazza, photo opportunities and some down time to soak up everything you have learned on your tour.

The Guide's talk contained too much detailed history. We had been on the tour 20 mins and we had only entered the court yard. Lost contact with group several times when you stopped to take pictures. Rushed through weapon display rooms.

No information on how to find tour and tour guide. Spent hour wandering around to find tour guide and only by luck and agent at starting gate did we not give up and pay just to get in. Next time send me some half decent instructions at tour site. I live in US and you expect me to know where and from whom to get what I paid for. Guide was very kind and good.

Rita was very charming and very knowledgeable. Our party enjoyed this tour immensely. I highly highly recommend. What a fabulous basilica! Doge's palace was wonderful as well and very interesting. Absolutely horrible experience and poor service response from this tour operator! We were waiting for the the tour guide for a half an hour where the meeting place was and did not see Viator anywhere because this was who we thought we booked through and would be the guide! After realizing we could not find this guide and it was a few minutes past the start time we contacted the service representative and she basically said over and over there is nothing we can do, there is nothing we can do! We were literally 10 minutes behind and a quick call to the guide could of easily put us together but again, the poor customer service basically said nothing we could do!!!
We said we would like a refund and we were told again, no, nothing we could do!!
We have booked several Viator tours over the next several weeks while we are in Italy and are thinking of canceling them due to the horrible treatment we received!

We received 3 msgs with conflicting start times and the meet location was not clearly stated. We found the guide only after phoning City Tours for help. The guide did not introduce herself by name. She did an OK job of explaining St. Mark's but left out the Bronze Horses and way over the top with the issue of the Muslim having the remains of St Mark. Inside the Basilica was spectacular but we did not stay long. The view of St Marks from inside the Doge courtyard was amazing but she did not give much explanation. We left early as we felt as though we were not going to see anything more of high value.

Tour was great, our guide was a local and expert in historical facts about Venizia. St. Mark’s Basilica is awesome and Doge’s Palace is exceptional. Skip the line for tour groups was worth it, depending on the time of year of visit.
