Ancient residence of the Venetian Doges, today it is a museum that presents exhibitions of great historical interest.Inside it’s possibile to visit optionally the Secret Itineraries of the Doge's Palace,The Hidden Treasures of the Doge and the Prisons which can be accessed by crossing the Bridge of Sights where Antonio Casanova, the renowned lover and writer was incarcerated before escaping!

The religious heart of Venice, dominates the square with its imposing architecture made up of various architectural styles, from mosaics predominantly golden, marble, sculptures and columns.
Symbol of its facade are the 4 bronze horses that overlook the square. Anciently it served as the Doge’s Chapel and the Church of State.
The Basilica contains the remains of the Evangelist San Marco stolen by two Venetian merchants in Alexandria of Egypt

We had an amazing day in Venice. Denise was our best tour guide in 2 weeks in Italy. She was very knowledgeable about her city and the Doge and Basilica were amazing. She helped us tailor our tour to our preferences. Her English is fantastic and my wife and I had a blast. She gave us great dinner and shopping recommendations. Denise created a one of kind experience and we are so thankful. Grazie a Millie!!!

We were contacted the evening before, stating that we could not get into Saint Mark‘s basilica . That was the only reason why we had scheduled this tour. The name of the Tour was changed on the day that we had the tour. It was an hour and a half shorter than originally scheduled, we never received a refund for the tickets that we had paid for to visit Saint Marks Basilica, and the guide was very difficult to understand. While on the tour, I was able to listen to some of the other guides, and their groups were given much better explanations, and details. When the person called to inform us that we would be unable to have the original tour, she was not very kind, she was very short tempered, and said that this was the best Tour that she could provide. I think we should receive a partial refund for this tour, it was expensive and the price we paid did not reflect the quality of the tour. , I would not recommend the agency that provided the tour.

Caroline was great! She was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. She made the tour special, my whole group was engaged and we range from ages 14-70. The skip the line tour I was perfect. Just the right amount of time to see the best parts. The gondola ride was the perfect end to the experience!

Caroline was an amazing Tour Guide. She did an excellent job sharing with us the history of Venice, pointing out some of the important paintings and stories, while we were in the doges palace and the Basilica. She personalized it she shared her own experiences, provided photos and connected all of the stories together as we traveled throughout the town. My mother was in a wheelchair and she knew just how to make sure that we could take the easiest route possible.

We had a wonderful time using private tours of Venice! Everything was set up and communication was excellent. Our tour guide was one of the best I've ever had, Alessandro. The tour coordinator was incredible and ensured everything was set up. If we needed to change or add anything we just messaged them and it was done! Highly recommend this company and Alessandro! Thank him for making our day in Venice and Bruano a day we will never forget!
