Thank you for joining Klondike Tours for your day here!

Hello, our wonderful guests!

I know you have received a confirmation letter explaining our meeting spots and pick-up locations, but since then, there has been a rock slide, and the city of Skagway has had to make some changes at one of our major docks. Doing so has forced Klondike Tours into changing how we meet before tours.
So we will no longer be meeting at the docks; we will be requesting all of our guests to seek rides on the SMART buses to 3rd and Broadway to our office (a 5-minute ride). SMART buses come to all docks every 10 to 15 minutes; please jump aboard and tell the driver you’re going to Klondike Tours. There won’t be a charge for this ride. You will meet your driver here at our office on 3rd and Broadway.

Again we thank you so much for your understanding. And just in case I haven’t said it enough “please don’t forget your passport”

We did a few excursions on our Alaskan cruise and this was by far our favorite. Max Glacier and Slim were corny and funny. But the dogs, the puppies what can I say. People have asked me my favorite moment of the trip and by far it was when Tom Brady, the puppy, fell asleep while I was holding him. I really appreciated how much we learned about what it takes to run the Iditarod and also learning about the dogs. Would highly recommend this excursion.

This excursion had it all! We were really pleased how structured it was. Started with panning for gold and seamlessly went to meeting actual participants from the Iditarod. Hooked up the dogs and watched them race around the track. Holding the puppies made the experience something our family will never forget.

Family fun for all! Group ranged from 3 to 60+ in age and all had a great time. Staff was fun and informative. And we got to hold puppies! What could be better?

Sled dogs were fun. Skip the gold panning behind their store. Castle was an excellent tour guide! Beautiful views!

We had a wonderful time. Booked this to do with our 10 year old grandson and it was better than I even suspected. I loved the small group of about 12- it didn't feel like we were in a "herd" of tourists. The scenery was incredible, sights more beautiful at every turn. Our stellar tour guide provided us with history, information on the nature we were seeing and found perfect spots for photos. The musher camp did not disappoint. Fun ride pulled by the dogs and time with the puppies. The staff of Klondike Tours were great and I highly recommend this tour as well as any they operate. I will book with them again if I travel back to Skagway, Alaska

Our guide Castle was sweet, knowledgeable, and obviously loved her job. She saved the experience. The gold panning was extremely disappointing: you are given a pre-packed amount of sand and then swirled it in a plate in a back alley water trough. Took all of 5 minutes and it was obvious you weren’t going to be able to get more than a few specks that they gave you a plastic bag for. The sled dog camp was fun; however, the puppies were asleep the whole time which made it a little disappointing after all of the buildup. I think the time at the dog camp should have been shorter as we all were kind of standing around staring at sleeping puppies. Overall, I had a nice time and liked learning from Castle. The reasons I booked the trip. which were gold panning and puppies, did not live up to my expectations.

What a great day! Bryan was our guide and he was phenomenal. He knew so much about the history, geography, climate and culture of the region. Bryan stopped at sensational spots for great picture taking. We even saw a momma bear and her three cubs, another black bear, and goats in the high hills in our travels. The Michelle Phillips dog sledding camp was great. We enjoyed the ride as much as the dogs did. The pups were adorable. The gold panning was underwhelming but this did not detract from us having a five star adventure. Thank you Bryan for a great day!

Lady driver was knowledgeable and friendly. Sled dog experience was not what I expected. "Gold panning" in the alley behind the tour office is worthless.
