Island Ferry's Dolphin-Snorkeling Cruise takes you snorkeling by boat to Shell Key, and to see dolphins at the same time! See dolphins in their natural habitat, along with manatees, rays, and wild birds. Go snorkeling and shelling on Shell Key Preserve, where you'll find hermit crabs, conchs, rays, horseshoe crabs, and more. Island Ferry is not a drop-off service, but rather the boat stays at Shell Key with you for the entire time. You can take a break from snorkeling and shelling, and sit on our shaded boats with a cold drink. And while you and your family are in the water, the Island Ferry crew stands watch on lifeguard duty. So we keep everyone safe! We provide the snorkel gear and the floating noodles.

My family and I loved this tour!! It ended up being just the 3 of us since no other groups signed up. Captain Justice was kind, knowledgeable, very professional, and played some of my favorite beach tunes (always a plus). Taylor was an awesome first mate and very knowledgeable as well. I know she will make an awesome captain! She got a video of the dolphins and I without me having to ask which was such a cool move; very cool gal! I love that I have the video to look back on and share! I appreciated both of them being so friendly and interactive. Taylor walked the beach with us and collected shells, teaching us things as we went along. We saw a few dolphins and captain justice was pretty strategic in getting them to tail our boat for a while and teaching us why they do that. He spotted a manatee and took us over as well, which we were really hoping to see. Overall we really loved the tour and felt happy to be in such good hands. They told us about some of the other rides offered and in the future I definitely want to try the water sports one capt. justice has!

What a great experience. The weather was perfect. The Captain of the boat was knowledgeable and a great guy. We went snorkeling, saw Dolphins and the spot for the Sunset was very romantic. 5 star all the way.

Captain Roger was amazing. Request him! Within 2 minutes we saw dolphins that came right to the boat. We got to see many more after that plus 100s of rays! The island was really cool and grabbed a bunch of seashells. Captain Roger helped a boat on the way back by calling the coast guard for a boat that was out of commission with an injury on board. He handled it professionally while keeping a cool and calm demeanor. Would definitely go again. Kids are 11 and 14 and had a blast!

Such a great tour!! Captain Roger was a fantastic host with a ton of knowledge about the local area and was able to put us on a school of Tarpon, a couple of manatees and several dolphins right away! Exploring she’ll key and searching for shells was an added bonus! 10/10 recommend!!

The whole experience was great!! Easy parking and getting to the marina. Our captain Noel was great!!! He explained a lot of the area and a lot about the fish or wild life. We were able to see dolphins in a few different spots. Unfortunately no manatee, but it was fun going to shell island and looking around. Overall, great experience, would definitely do it again.

Beautiful trip with Captain Dan. The water was so clear and his knowledge of the area and commentary of environmental influences on shifting land were very interesting.

Captain Dave did an amazing job by telling us local history and interesting facts! They went above and beyond to show us the dolphins! Great trip and would highly recommend these guys and especially Captain Dave!!

Captain Justice was very keen, interesting and full of good explanations about the wild life. We saw dolphins in the wave behind the boat and did snorkeling. Unfortunately, we did not see any manatee.
The shell key preserve is a so beautiful place that we would probably go kayaking next time.
