Stop At: Roman Forum, Largo della Salara Vecchia 5/6, 00186 Rome Italy
Take in the oldest part of Rome when you visit the Roman Forum to see the government buildings, temples and ancient roads that were home to daily life in Ancient Rome. Pass by the senate house, the temple of the Vestal Virgins and the Temple of Julius Caesar where his ashes were laid to rest. Walk on the road built by Emperor Augustus and marvel at the beautiful ruins that can still be seen today.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Palatine Hill, Piazza Santa Maria Nova, 53, 00186 Rome Italy
Make your way from the forum up to the Palatine Hill where Emperors built their palaces. Once home to the founder of Rome, Romulus, the Palatine Hill is where Rome originates. Throughout Roman history emperors were born and died on this hill. Many of them built grand homes we call palaces thanks to the name of the hill. You will walk through the ruins of these palaces as your guide tells you the entertaining stories of the emperors and the history of Rome. You will even get a peak at the Circus Maximus, the stadium where chariot races were held, as well as Emperor Domitian's own private stadium on top of the Palatine Hill.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Colosseum, Piazza del Colosseo, 00184 Rome Italy
You will feel like a gladiator about to go into battle when you enter the Colosseum directly onto the arena floor using the special access Gladiator Gate. This special entrance is only for those who book this special Arena Floor experience. Once you are on the floor, you will be able to look up at the stadium where over 50,000 spectators would sit to watch the day's events. The culmination of which were the gladiatorial battles. Your guide will tell you all about the different styles of fighting as well as the daily life activities for the gladiators. From here you will proceed up into the stands themselves to get the point of view of the fans, and some excellent photo opportunities. This is where your amazing guide will tell you all about the many events that were part of the games, including animal parades, exotic animal hunts and even public executions at lunchtime. This is the most complete Colosseum experience you can get and we know you will love every minute of it.

an incredible place rich with history, the guide, while enthusiastic was repetitive, unstructured and short on detail and chattered on ‘you guys’ as though we were a group of school children.

Francesca was a wonderful tour guide for our Coliseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill tour. She’s an expert in mosaics and brought an illustrated book to show the group what these places looked like in ancient times. Wonderful tour. Highly recommended!

Rich was very knowledgable but moved fast. There are a lot of crowds so it was necessary at times to move fast and be aggressive though. We got in to the Colosseum quick but waited for a little bit at the Roman Forum. Overall, we enjoyed the tour and would recommend. The meeting point is not right at the Colosseum so plan for that and account for traffic in Rome.

Just wanted to give a shout out to our tour guide Rich - he was excellent. Knowledgeable, friendly, and by far our best experience with a tour guide we have had so far in Rome. Thanks again Rich!

We got the full experience tickets and although our tour guide Dimitri was very informative I feel like we did not make the most of the tickets we got. What the tour company should have done is to give us tickets to use a head of time as the Forum take more than 20 minutes to walk through but we only had a glimpse of the place from the top. We spent too much time walking through the Palatine which was pretty but too long. The tour thought the colosseum was cool. If we had known that the time we got the spent at the Forum was that short, we would have opted to come back to the Forum another day as the line to enter is WAY SHORTER than the colosseum and our full experience ticket is actually valid for 48 hours but once you scanned it, you can’t use it again.

Funny, knowledgeable and good pace. Thanks Jay! Definitely would be better private, some folks in our small group were not very personable.

Rich and his 20+ years of experience shined on this 2.5 hour long tour as he deftly guided us through the crowds and added in details from his personal experiences, including photos he took himself from the sites and the changes since.

Fantastic experience! The location fit tickets was easy to find. Our group was small and our guide Alex was so knowledgeable and funny! We had such a great time and highly recommend this to anyone. We’re so happy we choose this experience instead of trying to navigate it ourselves.

The most unpleasant experience, we called operation and tried to cancel the tour as the weather was extremely bad. The rain was pouring and it was completely impossible to have a tour. They were very unpleasant and explained to us that the tour will be going no matter the terrible weather conditions.
