Itinerary

Enjoy a 25-minute boat trip to the beautiful Daymaniyat Islands, “ Nature Reserve”. The Islands are a sanctuary for birds and turtles to nest their eggs.

Virtually everyone who comes here does so to dive. There are nine low, rocky little islets here, strung out in a line from east to west and clustered in three quite widely separated groups, surrounded by coral reefs.

The islands have been protected as a nature reserve since 1996 and provide an important nesting site for hawksbill and green turtles, as well as a wide range of migratory birds including the increasingly rare sooty falcon, one of the few migratory raptors which actually nests and breeds in the region.
Throughout the year you will see 3 different species of turtles who come since centuries to the islands.

A huge diversity of hard & soft corals.

Common encounters will be honeycomb Murray Eel, sting rays, schools of fish, sometimes black tip sharks.

For those coming during summer our good friend the Whale Shark will definitely be around.

Awesome trip with global scuba. Captain sunny is the best and professional. Chilled juice, water and delicious sandwiches was given. It worth the money I paid

I wanted a closeup view of the Daymaniat Islands and this trip afforded that opportunity. The boat captain, assistant, and dive instructor were open , friendly, helpful, encouraging, and professional. The Scuba divers on the trip had two opportunities to view the underwater environment and were quite pleased with the help and guidance of the dive master. Snorkelers had an equally adventuresome trip and I could tell that they were pleased with the experience.

After booking this trip through Viator, I attempted to contact global scuba to confirm the pick up location at the port. I did not hear from them. On the morning of the tour, I attempted to confirm again, but again, did not get a response. With no other option, we left for the port we believed we had selected and hoped we would see a sign for the company. Once at the port, another company informed us we were likely in the wrong spot, so they attempted to help us call global scuba (as our phones/ internet was very spotty). Again, there was no answer. It proved impossible to get ahold of global scuba and I’m extremely disappointed that Viator’s response was simply, “sorry”. We ended up going with another tour group on the spot, but are out the money for this trip as neither Viator nor Global Scuba will refund the money for the missed trip, despite our repeated attempts to contact them ahead of time.

Captain: Sunny Good, kind, and supportive Captain. Guide all team members very well. The speed boat is nice and clean with the attached washroom. The tour starts at 9 am. After 20 minutes of drive, we saw shark and do our snorkeling. After that, we reached the island . We saw turtles and many species. Then he dropped us on the island for 1 hrs. We came back at 2.30 pm. Tour is safe with kids. Highly recommend and must bucket list.

Fun tour, you’ll definitely see lots of sea turtle. DJ was the guide and he was helpful and nice. The only bad thing is that we had to wait nearly an hour for a family to arrive. Not fair for the rest of the people

Me and my husband decided to do the turtle snorkeling tour offered by Global Scuba in Oman. We were very excited to do the tour, as it was recommended by a friend who did this tour with them. Infortunately it was our day, as we had numerous issues: 1. We arrived on time to leave for the tour, but had to wait for an hour on the boat before leaving. 2. Our guide/instructor(Johan)was very helpful and offered us refreshments, and was very apologetic about the delay. 3. As we eventually left, our boat's engines started giving problems and was delayed once again. 4. Eventually when we got to the island, we done some snorkeling with the turtles, which was very amazing. 5. As per our booking, we should have done 2 different snorkeling spots, but we went straight to the beach(which was beautiful)without doing the second area. 6. As the boat's engines kept on failing, we were to transfer to another of the company's boats, which already full of guests. 7. As we left the boat to transfer, Johan(I assume was the manager) told the other boat captain to take us so that we can get back in time to the port and be safe. The captain that was to take us(Deejay), then started screaming at Johan saying that he cannot take us as his boat was full. I have heard Johan asking him calmly at least twice to stop as there are guasts around, but he just continued ranting. 8. We eventually got on his boat, uncomfortable as it may have been, but at least we had a ride back to the port. Deejay went(in my opinion) too fast with the load, and made me and other guests very uncomfortable. Needless to say, we made it back to the port safely. We saw Johan on the pier, and he once again apolgised for the mishaps during the trip. He was very professional, and he calmed us down, and jokingly offered to buy us dinner. In all, a good trip with bad experience and a very unprofessional captain(Dejay). I will not recommend this excursion with him in control of the boat and guests.

Our group of friends went to travel though Oman, and decided to join Global Scuba for the snorkeling with turtles experience at the Daymanyat Islands. It was a great experience, except for my friend who have never done snorkeling before. Unfortunately he did not inform the captain or our host Johan. and when he got in the water, he panicked and started to splash around. We screamed for the boat for help, and Johan jumped in the water to assist my friend. He reached him, calmed him down and swam with him to the boat where he received a life ring from another guest. In all, I think it could have been far more serious if it was not for the quick reaction of Johan, and we all would like to thank him!!! Apart from this happening, we saw lots of turtles, nice corals, enjoyed the sandwiches that was on board and the beautiful beach. thank you Global Scuba and Johan for your hospitality and care. I will recommend to other guest to do this trip with them when in Oman.

VERY UNSAFE! DON'T GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY FRACTURED MY BROTHERS BACK!! Global Scuba went out at sea on March 4th, even though there was an alert to not go out at sea. We had a very unsafe boat ride that day, which resulted in injury. All passengers were jumping up and down from their seats because of the strong current (and I suspect because the driver doesn't have his boat license so he didn't know how to manage the water). Water kept entering the boat. It was extremely rough. As a result my brother landed very hard on his seat, you could hear his back crack. I called out to the captain and they said he could sit somewhere else. So he tried to stand up to switch seats but he suddenly collapsed, because he was temporarily paralyzed his legs were not functioning. They did not know first aid. When my brother collapsed they tried to lift him up, while you're supposed to let them lay down for possible spinal injuries. And they didn't even have a heat blanket to keep him warm, while he was shivering from the cold. Water kept entering the boat. We went to the hospital and got X-rays done in the hospital, they show a defect on LL5 in his spine...He cannot use his back for at least 6 weeks. And we will still have to see if there is any more injury in our home country. Our hospital bill was 65 Rial and they also refuse to pay it, because they think they are not liable. Furthermore, my brother and husband didn't even get a life vest, because there weren't enough for all passengers!!!! The boat also had no radio to make contact on land to call an ambulance. Here is the link of the Times of Oman that The Civil Aviation Authority advised to not sail during alert period, which they ignored: https://timesofoman.com/article/142789-weather-caa-issues-heavy-rainfall-alert-for-muscat-other-parts-of-oman Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
