Itinerary
Collect warm clothes from the office in town and meet your adventure guide. You will be transported by minivan to the forest start point (about 20m drive), where you will receive a safety briefing and an explanation of how to drive the snowmobiles. Head out into the arctic forest for your tour in search of the magical northern lights. You will wind through forests, cross over the frozen lakes, and along the frozen Torne River. There will be plenty of opportunities to swap drivers (if both have driving licences) and to take photos of this natural phenomenon. During the tour your guide will lead you to a forest hut where you will be served a traditional dinner from lapland (reindeer souvas) and local cloudberry dessert. Inside the forest hut, you can warm up around the open fire and sip a hot drink. You will be transferred back to the start point when the tour finishes.

Brilliant tour. Collected from the offices in the new town, and after safety and user briefing a short ride for each of us driving before we went further. Part-way through we stopped on a lake to film norther lights and then onto a hut for Reindeer Stew and Ligonberry juice. we saw the northern lights there as well. IT's REALLY cold so you need to suit up appropriately. Guides for the evening were brilliant, helpful and really looked after us.

Hi
… had an absolutely pathetic experience with our guide Paul .., never met a more unfriendly guide .., to start with when we said we would love to see the aurora ,he actually said I don’t think you will see it … a super positive and brilliant start ,if there was ever one …then when we were getting into the car … we had a problem with the seat lever to get into the car … he says u can’t even adjust a button .., really is that guide like behavior… not to worry things get even better , . Then when we were on the lake … the snowmobile
got beached … the guide not sure if I should call him that .. initially was overly upset … don’t see why as it’s not like you wantonly want to beach a snowmobile… , which u are driving for the 1st time in your life in the dark … mind you …in its own a horrible prospect as u are stuck in ice and trying to get out yourself and this
is where a guide is supposed to help not berate … .. but after ranting and raving …then he gets a rope and ties the stricken snowmobile to his snowmobile and he then revs up his mobile , and goes for a toss and then he loses his entire cool and threatens all of us to retrieve a box left behind in the lake which was removed while tying the snowmobiles together …and said if we would not , he would leave us there … I am astonished as to how or what was going on in his mind .. how dare you threaten a paying guest or anyone would leave us there … I am astonished as to what he was thinking when he said that … childish and petulant are the words that come to mind … so we told him that none of us were interested in risking life and limb to wade into a frozen lake to get the most precious box … so he eventually ended up getting himself … and after this incident he then tells me, make sure I keep to the track in which I am supposed to be in , to which I answered no I prefer off-roading … he then had the audacity to use the f word .., I am not sure of his upbringing at all or what kind of standards you have when you hire guides … absolutely atrocious.., … I want a proper resolution to this horrendous episode at the earliest after this incident he then tells me to make sure I keep to the track in which I am supposed to be in , to which I answered no I prefer off-roading … he then had the audacity to use the…word .., I am not sure of his upbringing at all or what kind of standards you have when you hire guides … absolutely atrocious.., …simply … later they swapped guides … the new one was a really nice guy with whom we totally enjoyed the balance of the trip … wish they had sent him in the 1st place … for what would have been quite an enchanting experience

The tour was great, we saw a lot of the Northern Lights and our guides were so great! They stopped a few extra times for us because the lights were so strong, and they were generally just very accommodating. I brought my children along and my smaller ones couldn’t handle the cold, so the guides helped us get them and my husband back to our hotel while also helping my oldest son and me rejoin the tour so he wouldn’t miss the lights, and they did all of this without holding up everyone else on the tour AND they were super nice and kind about it all. And when the tour ran late because the guides gave us extra time watching the lights, Lukas and another guide, Eric (Erik??) who didn’t even run our tour went out of their way and drove us back to our hotel in the middle of the night. Thank you SO much, Lukas and Eric/k!!

It was such a great excursion. Paul and Claudia were AMAZING guides and it was a blast experiencing the outdoors in snowmobiles and enjoying a traditional meal. We were well equipped for the weather. I still had a great time even though the weather didn’t cooperate for seeing the northern lights.
Give Paul and Claudia a raise. Seriously.

We booked the Aurora snowmobile expedition with dinner and were quite disappointed. It felt more like a "dinner" with a short snowmobile transfer. We were more than 20 people and drove (in total!) not more than 45min with lots of short stops and a maximum speed of less than 30km/h - most of the time just 20km/h. The guides were very friendly and the food good. But the snowmobile tour itself was more than disappointing. We would not book the tour again and can't recommend it.

Ben was amazing! He picked up on time, provided clear instructions and very knowledgeable. Dinner was great, lovely atmosphere and chatting.
Unfortunately, we did not see the aurora borealis- but nobody can control the weather. The tour was truly great, I highly recommended it!

We were warned that April was almost a bad idea to try to see the Northern lights because how late in the season we were coming to try to see them. However, our trip was the most spectacular I could ever dream of. Everything went perfectly. Very happy with the service. The route taken, the snowmobiles and the food. The most spectacular part was the spectacle we witnessed of the Northern lights: it is like an espiritual event.

A fabulous memory for a 50th celebration.
Surprise trip organised by my wife.
Whole experience phenomenal.
I had experienced snowmobiling previously in Finland and really enjoyed.
This was such a brilliant experience. Transfers from Ice Hotel.
Two brilliant guides with great knowledge of tracks.
Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect night to go out. The sky was lit up with the northern lights, which I have waited such a long time to see. The guides took as to the best viewing spots and helped with photos to really capture the memories.
After a two hour ride on the snowmobiles we arrived at a hut in the middle of the forest. A blazing fire was expertly made and proceeded to make reindeer stew on the spot with hot lingonberry juice. Then the most amazing lights appeared in the sky.
Guides were fabulous. Hats off to Flo and Nicole. Amazing
So disappointing to see the less than brilliant reviews. The general public can sometimes be very mean and not consider how much effort is put in here. Yes it costs but you cannot put a price on these experiences. Thank you so much to Kiruna guidetours. Fabulous
Such a birthday treat. The guides and the tour made a perfect ending to a perfect trip
