On This Myvatn Snowmobile tour you will explore the area of Lake Myvatn. Enjoy magnificent view of the surrounding mountain circle from the Frozen lake Mývatn
With a snowmobile in you can explore the Icelandic nature during the winter months in a different way. Take an exciting adventure on our snowmobiles out on the frozen Lake Mývatn starting from our family Farm in Grímstaðir by lake Mývatn.
Itinerary:
You meet your guide, who will help you find helmets and overalls fitting your size. We go over all safety features you need to keep in mind and show you all the tricks about driving and operating a snowmobile. Just before we go, your guide will go over the route and how we drive in a single formation at a safe speed.
Your guide will then take you on a one-hour snowmobile tour with a few stops to admire the landscape. Driving a snowmobile through a vast landscape of volcanoes and the contrast between the black lava and white snow is an experience of a lifetime.

Super experience, best snowmobiles I’ve been on. Heated seats and accelerator and brake, making it very comfortable in the cold. Lovely guide and great fun for everyone !

Had an excellent experience on the Mývatn snowmobile tour led by Bo, who was an excellent guide making us feel safe and ready to go beforehand and choosing routes that provided great thrills. A huge thank you to Anton as well for helping to arrange the tour for me at very short notice!

We did many activities with them, e. g. climbing the crater, snow scooter, visiting Hverir, visiting Dettifoss with superjeeps, visiting Dimmuborgir; and all were well organized, went smoothly, and were just fun.

I would highly recommend this place...Start w a good introduction,provide all equipments for safe ride... The weather was so beautiful sunny,and snow everywhere.

Of course in April snowmobiles cannot run anymore on Lake Myvatn (although Anton assured us that some of them even are able to ride on water !)
The alternative - going on a nearby glacier - was absolutely amazing and offered not only stunning views from above, the rare sighting of a snowowl and most important - a heck of a good time in riding the snowmobiles !
Anton demonstrated our small group how to drive safely, let us ride free where possible and guided us carefully along the spots where to watch out.
Not to forget: our 13 year old sun loved being a passenger of Anton and experience his remarkably skills.

Fabulous excursion with Anton who exuded knowledge and enthusiasm. Stunning views, great volvanoes that are inaccessible by any other means and riding a snowmobile was a blast..... And remarkably easy.
