This is a fun adventure suitable for everyone where we focus on nature and culture.
Let me show you that our arctic forest is full of life! Both big and small!
We will search for animal tracks and talk about how the animals survive throughout the arctic year.
Let’s play in the snow and explore our frozen forest together.
Information:
Activity level - Easy
Duration - 2,5h
Length - 2 ~2,5km
Activity Includes - Snowshoes, Hot local berry juice,
headlamp (if needed) and a local guide.
Pickup is included from three pickup spots in Kiruna:
Camp Ripan (10min prior activity start),
Tourist Information (5min prior activity start) and Hotel Scandic (0 min prior).
Notes:
We do not provide any additional clothing.
Pleas dress according to the weather and the activity.
Minimum age 12 years.
Maximum group size 8p

Hello.
I will start picking up guests from "Camp Ripan" 15 minutes before the activity start.
Then i will continue to the hotel "Arcti Eden" in the "old town".
The last pick up spot will be at "Hotel Scandic" in the "new town".
Look for a black minivan with the logo "on67° ".

Anders was an excellent guide through the Forest, his knowledge of both nature and wildlife was fascinating. He could point out all the different animal tracks in the snow and speculate on their behaviour too. Likewise, his knowledge of the natural environment we were in was equally fascinating on the tree plantation, the undergrowth and indeed Kiruna itself. I came away not only enjoying the snowshoe walk (which was not arduous) itself but also so much more informed.

It was a great excursion. Anders, the guide, explaiined us a lot of the wildlife in the forrest and about living in Kiruna.

Anders was a fun a knowledgeable guide. He told us many interesting facts about the culture and animals in Swedish Lapland. He offered us some very tasty homemade traditional lingonberry juice and cookies, to make the break very enjoyable. The sunny day made the experience even more pleasant. The snowshoeing walk in the forest was very easy and relaxing, no particular skill was required, and Anders helped us with the snowshoeing equipment, we really enjoyed the scenery and spotting the wild animal tracks in the forest. There were only us 2 on the tour that day, and Anders kindly offered to drop us off at the Kiruna new center where we wanted to visit after the tour. Overall this was an amazing experience and we highly recommend this tour.

We had the most amazing morning snowshoeing through the winter forest with our outstanding guide, who was full of great stories and information about the forest, the wildlife and about life in Kiruna. He was informative, entertaining and a fantastic guide. The warm juice and traditional biscuits served around a fire was perfect in such a magical setting.

A really wonderful experience with our guide. Very fluent in English and a lot knowledgeable in arctic life. We enjoyed a lot this snowshoe trip, particularly during the short rest around a little fire drinking their local berry-made hot beverage. Strongly recommended activity.

This was a fantastic snow shoe hike in a beautiful winter landscape!! We did the tour with our two children and it was a great experience for everyone of us. The track was not difficult and our guide Anders told us a lot of interesting facts about the animals living in the forest and the plants growing there. He did a great job!! Thanks and ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!
