Make Your Own Artisan Cup
Come and have fun. Learn how to hand build your very own artisan ceramic cup.
Visit our workshop, learn about ceramics and try it yourself! Come on your own or with a friend - this is an open, friendly environment.
What you’ll learn and what we’ll do.
You will learn about ceramics, different clays and decoration techniques.
Let the fun begin.
Out come the aprons, clay and tools to get your hands dirty. Hands on, you will make and personalise your own artisan cup.
You’ll learn skills ceramists use when sculpting by hand. After your cup is complete you will learn to texture and add decorations.
No need to bring anything special, we’ll have an apron ready for you.
No prior ceramics experience is necessary.
Your Finished Artisan Cup
Ceramics take a bit of time to dry. So we offer two options if you are just visiting Barcelona:
Option 1: About 1 to 2 weeks later your ceramic piece is ready to pick up or mail. Shipping is not included in the workshop price. We ship worldwide via DHL.
Option 2: Just visiting Barcelona, can’t wait a few days? You can leave your cup and select a finished handmade cup made by Taller Gingell to take home as a memory.

It was my first time doing a ceramics class. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and i have the impression of having learned a lot. The class is very well concieved and organized. Wendy and Eric are lovely and the whole experience was a lot of fun. let's see how the cup will turn our now.

Together with two friends we booked the ceramic cup making workshop. In the midst of Poble Sec there is a very cute atelier where Wendy and Eric host their workshops. I loved the experience from beginning to end as this couple explains everything very well and they are just the nicest people. First they explained a bit about ceramics and how they make different designs. Thereafter, we got our own hands dirty and tried three different techniques. After smashing our three little designs to the ground, we could choose our own technique and build our ceramic cup from scratch. I have enjoyed every last bit of the workshop. So much that I didn’t want it to end (the three of us stayed a bit longer because we are perfectionists). I look forward to seeing the cup soon, we will pick it up in store, but I heard you can also ship it to any country very safely.
Thank you Wendy and Eric for this lovely experience and your kindness, I would 100/10 recommend.

I recommend it to everyone! Eric and Wendy are very kind people. They explained everything in a very entertaining way and guided us during the whole process of making the cup.

My partner and I came to Taller Gingell in February 2024 and had a fantastic time creating our own mug from zero! Wendy was a very professional yet accommodating instructor, checking on our creations throughout the making process. The whole session was in English and Spanish.
10/10 experience
Bonus point is that we were sent some pictures of us during this experience ✨

Pottery classes led by Wendy and Eric are brilliant. Good jazz music, lovely atmosphere, kind people. Everything went great. I spent there a wonderful time. It's as relaxing and calming as a good massage. Strongly recommend it to everyone.

Had a great time at the workshop. Wendy and Eric are very welcoming and friendly.
They take pictures of us during the workshop which is a really nice touch.
Learned a lot about ceramics and the different processes of creating cups.
