Our fun, creative and interesting classes show you how to make one of the incredible designs of the Alhambra.
No experience is necessary. We will show you how the mosaics, patterns and art of the Alhambra were created and show you how to make one of your very own to take home. These classes are a fantastic opportunity to learn about and appreciate the unique cultural heritage of Granada. They are designed for anyone to participate and are fun and relaxing.
All levels of artistic ability and experience are welcome in our classes. We help every student each step of the way and if you know what you’re doing and want to pick up some new skills there is plenty we can show you.
Classes are 3 hours of fun with lots of refreshment breaks. We focus on enjoyment and students work at their own pace while painting.
Our workshop is air conditioned for summer and heated for winter, so you will feel perfectly comfortable!
The class gives you a deeper understanding of the art and artisans of the Alhambra and are a wonderful way to enjoy your holiday. Create your own design using pencil and compass, add colour with either water colour or gouache painting techniques and bring it alive.

Absolutely loved this studio and the class. Kate and Mark were the best! A little geometry, drawing, painting, history and a lot of fun. Creating the geometric shape was a bit challenging for me but Kate took me through the exercise step by step. Mark was my class buddy since I was the only person in attendance on a Sunday morning at 9:30am. and even made coffee! Kate taught me about watercolors and different painting techniques, both explaining and demonstrating.
Kate and Mark have lived an interesting life and it was fun to talk with them about their experiences living abroad in so many countries before settling down in Granada.
I will definitely visit the studio again and take another class on my next trip to Granada.

Excellent class! I attended this class on my own, (my husband wanted to walk around town.) It was such a great experience to learn not only about the history of the art but to actually create it. It is a nice break from touring sites and also gives you a better perspective of the art you see in the Alhambra. You do not have to be an expert artist by any means! Kate and Mark make you feel at home and assure that you create a nice painting. I cannot recommend this enough- a unique and standout experience here in Granada!!
