The booking did go smoothly and the tour operator contacted me immediately afterwards to confirm the details. Also my guide Bakhtiar contacted me before my arrival to Almaty, so everything was very well organized before and during the trip.
It was amazing to go up the mountains so class to the city, of course it helped that weather was sunny and quite warm! The views from 3.200 meter were amazing and there are also many activities offered up there. There are also several nice restaurants and cafes up there where you could enjoy nice meal and drinks.
All in all for me a very enjoyable and relaxing day in the mountains and Bakhtiar was doing an excellent job to arrange the program to my liking.

It was a wonderful trip to Shimbulak and the guide was so helpful in all the ways. My kids had never done skiing, there we have the opportunity to learn with proper instructors. Kids confidently did skiing within 10 minutes which is really appreciable.

Incredible tour to Medeu and Shymbulak! Great opportunity to see stunning views of Shymbulak mountains, visit the iconic Medeu skating rink and enjoy the beauty of nature right outside of Almaty. Our guide, Nur Sultan, during our visit to Shymbulak, was an absolute gem. With a calm and comforting demeanor, he not only made sure we were comfortable but also shared captivating stories and information about the area, immersing us in the warmth of Kazakh local culture.
One of the most memorable moments was when Nur Sultan prepared tea for us along the way. It was a simple gesture, but it added a touch of coziness to our adventure. Everything about our tour was seamless and perfect, thanks to his expertise and care.

I did a solo tour after my business trip in Almaty. My guide, Nur-sultan greeted me at my hotel. He drove me to the sight. He showed me around the place. He is very good company for solo-female traveler. He is very patient and flexible. He has very good background of the places and the history of Kazakstan. You will not disappoint.
