It's no secret that culture and knowledge are passed on from generation to generation. When it comes to Italian culture, it's safe to say that what can be learned from our ancestors is truly extraordinary. Your hosts Paolo and Simone learned how to grow and make wine, how to make pasta from scratch, and of course how to prepare wonderful local delicacies from their Nonna. After introductions are made at Frascati railway station, your guide will lead the way on a short walk through historic Frascati, the very heart of the Roman countryside. You'll get a glimpse of this characteristic town and it's rich history dating back to Roman times. After a short walk, you'll arrive at a beautiful wine cellar where your hosts will open the wines produced at the family vineyard, namely Frascati Superiore D.O.C.G. (don't worry, you'll learn what all those initials mean!) and Vagnolo. After tasting each wine with some traditional appetisers, the pasta making begins! Our chef will teach you how to make real homemade pasta, so be ready to get your hands dirty! Once you have mixed and rolled out your pasta you will be faced with a difficult choice, WHICH Roman style dish would you like to create? Choose from three typical recipes, Carbonara, Amatriciana, or Cacio e Pepe and let the chef guide you through the basics of preparation. The grand finale? Buon Appetito! Sit and enjoy your pasta while conversing with the other guests for as long as you like. After dinner you'll have a chance to view the "caves" below the wine cellar.

This is a long time family own business. They were very nice, friendly, and a whole lot of fun. The pasta making class was so fun. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate. My family felt a part of the amazing women’s kindness. I would highly recommend this class.

We had a great time with our guide, Rosie! She was very knowledgeable and very interactive with our group. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Rome who wants to get away from the city for a night.

Short and Sweet review -
1. I found out about this amazing place on Reddit (so did other people in the group) - it is almost a crime that this place is not the #1 option of where you should do a cooking class in Rome and that I found it on reddit and not on Trip advisor.
2. It is not actually in Rome, it is in Frascati (a 25 min train ride away). You may be worried about getting there, dont be. the train ride is a straight shot from Roma Termini and they will meet you at the station in Frascati. You will walk away from the experience so happy you got to see more of Italy than just Rome proper, and realize Frascati is where you should have stayed the whole time for your time in Rome.
3. The class itsself is well done and the end product is fantastic. IT was an awesome opportunity to make friends and exploring Frascati with some people from the group after the tour was honestly the best part of the trip.
4. The wine is superb.
If you think there is any other experience you should do while in Rome other than this, Im sorry to tell you that you are just wrong.

We had truly a wonderful time, it was very entertaining! We enjoyed the wine tasting ( great wine!) the pasta making and later our Dinner with our own made pasta. Meeting point was outside the train station in Frascati. Frascati is wonderful little town, in my opinion much more enjoyable then Rome and not touristy, very authentic - we loved it!

This was a 10/10 experience. The host was so knowledgeable about the area and gave us a tour of their families private cave. This was so unexpected. The pasta and sauces 3 that were demonstrated were all so very amazing. I can not say enough about this experience.
