Nowadays Halong bay becomes very tourists and messy. All highlight attractions are Titov Island and Amazing Caves (Surprise Caves) are welcoming thousands of tourist every day in every step so we leading further to Bai Tu Long bay which is Northeast from Halong bay. Bai Tu Long Bay literally means “The bay of Dragon children”
Bai Tu Long Bay is fabulous as its famous neighbor. Honestly it’s more stunning and natural, since it’s becoming a must-do destination for travellers from over the world.

If you come from Hanoi city, we can arrange pick up service from your hotel with extra charge 35 USD/person/round trip by luxury van or 25 USD/person/round trip by shuttle bus. Let us know your hotel location to arrange it smoothly.

All in all a nice experience. Good alternative to the other Halong Bay-Cruises. Not al ot of people there.

Renea cruise with Yummy guide is a awesome guide. He is carrying and accommodated my husband and myself with vegetarian foods. Loved the cruise very much.

Fantastic trip thru Tu Long Bay. We went 2 D/1N, no crowds, beautiful weather, awesome service on the boat and Hung was an ideal (and super knowledgeable) guide. Highly recommend!

We arrived in Ha Long on a beautiful day. Everything is more beautiful, better than I thought. Renea is a small cruise ship with friendly staff. Our tour guide Duc was very handsome and excellent. See you again when I return to my relatives

I have to say this is our best trips in viet nam we was swimming on the beach with out people only 9 persons we fell like private tour

The best part of our 3 month trip around Asia!
Gorgeous views, amazing food, beautiful experiences, very friendly crew, etc. Our guide Sunny was so enthusiastic about everything, and the rest of the crew were so nice and welcoming.
I wish we have had more time to see everything. We highly recommend!

We took an overnight cruise on Bai Tu Long during our recent trip to Vietnam. I had read that Bai Tu Long is less crowded and more pristine than the main part of Halong Bay, which is what led me to choose this option.
We selected Renea Cruises due to the small number of cabins. We are still Covid conscious, and we thought being with a small group would be safer.
Somehow, even though I thought I was booking through the official Renea Cruise site, we ended up booking through a travel company. This was all right--the company had excellent, efficient service--but it meant we were sort of outliers in the group.
The weather was mostly uncooperative during our cruise--windy and cold, but that did not detract from the beauty of the surroundings or the kindness and helpfulness of the crew, who were wonderful. Hero was our guide, and he was excellent and fun.
Our room was beautiful, with large windows and a balcony.
The food was delicious and plentiful.
Unfortunately, there was a family who was sick on the cruise--they were all coughing a lot, including a child who did not cover his mouth. This meant that we had to eat on the outside deck in the cold wind or alone in our cabin. This is not the fault of the crew or the company, of course, and they were all extremely kind and considerate in bringing our meals to those locations. The chef even made me a special bouquet of vegetables cut to look like flowers.
We opted to forgo the kayaking, because we were so cold, and we didn't realize that we would remain at the place where we had anchored for the kayaking for the next 14 hours or so, so we thought we would have more to see later. The next morning, we did go to Herb Island to explore the cave there and take in the views from the cave and the beach. These were fabulous! However, the cave was very, very crowded, as there were several cruise boats there at once.
After we returned to the Renea, we headed back to the cruise port along the exact same route as we had travelled the previous afternoon. This was by far the biggest disappointment for us. It would have been nice to have taken a slightly different route back, so we could have different views. The main reason we took this cruise was for the scenery, and we feel like we could have seen just as much on a 1-day cruise. There were 3 Renea boats that travelled parallel to one another. We could occasionally glimpse them on the other side of the karsts. We were all anchored in the same area overnight, too. So, it seems like it would have been fairly simple for these boats to swap return routes, so the passengers could get some different views.
A friend of mine hopped on a day cruise of Halong Bay at the last minute a couple of weeks before my trip, and she and her husband ended up having an entire boat to themselves, except for the crew! So, I am questioning my choice to do an overnight cruise.
However, I'm still glad I saw the bay. It is truly beautiful and unique.
