Your journey inside the Cleopatra bath, and Turkish Bath Program will be welcoming you at the entrance and guide you to the Sauna room where you can enjoy 10 to 15 minutes followed by 10 to 15 minutes steam bath to relax and soften your skin as well as helping your body to adjust to the heat of the Cleopatra bath,followed by 10 to 15 minutes Jacuzzi, first you will lie down on the Heating stone , the hexagon heated marble in the middle, for at least 10 minutes. Then, the Marble Polished Square Water Basin where you will exfoliate your body with a special scrubbing mitten, the kese. After rinsing, the final step of the ritual –Foam (bubble soap wash) will start and you will be rubbed with a loofah, leaving you with a feeling of purification.
Then you will move to our relaxation room where you can enjoy hot drinks and relax for 15 minutes.
After you can have free time to enjoy our Sauna, Steam bath & Jacuzzi

Where to start? I guess we felt a bit duped when we had read all the reviews on cleopatra spa only to find ourselves dropped off in a half finished shopping centre wondering where we were being taken. It certainly wasn’t the Cleopatra Spa we had read about in Hurghada with all the good reviews!!! Some comfort was had when we got to a unit on the second floor and saw other tourists, because when our taxi driver dropped us at the curb and we were to follow this unknown guy into what looked like a derelict building, we did have some significant concerns. The chaos began from the start. We changed in a make shift changing area and left our valuables in a minuscule box behind reception and were herded into a holding room before our wrist band indicated to staff we should be in the sauna. Our group were ushered in to a large hot sauna, which would have been fine apart from kids and toddlers screaming outside. 10 minutes later, our herd was led to a steam room which again would have been fine if it hadn’t been for screaming children, and a toddler, no more than about three, being lifted by one of the staff in an effort to put her into the room she clearly didn’t want to be in, which understandably left her shrieking for her mother. After 10 minutes the production line took us to the first of two rooms where we got rubbed and exfoliated while photographers took photos of us with bubbles. Kids were all around, some laughing and some crying. There was nothing relaxing about this experience. From this, we were then off to the salt rub and wrap room. Thankfully all was quite quiet in this room. After finishing here, we were to shower which was fun with virtually no water coming out of any of the working showers and they were hard to find. After we managed to remove the salt from our creases, we were asked to avail of the two large hot tubs, but politely declined … trying to sit back and relax in toddler soup about is not my idea of fun. Up to now, we were a bit disillusioned about the whole experience, if you haven’t already guessed and had our session ended here, it would have been a 1 star experience, never to be repeated, but the massage was the redeeming factor in this whole trip. In all my years I have never had a massage quite like it. Although the areas were clearly set up for the masses, with stalls and a bit of a curtain, I can safely say that when the head went down, the noise of kids was nowhere to be heard and my body felt like it had been reborn after a deep tissue massage that felt like he was going to break bits of me. Outstanding. If I could go again just for the massage and skip the rest I would. I’m sure the experience would have been far more enjoyable if it wasn’t for screaming kids. I would suggest that it should be made clear if a facility like this is adults only or not, on the information page. I can’t imagine Cleopatra would have been bathing in milk with a bunch of screaming toddlers around her so not sure we should have.

Best massage ever. Having a massage after jacuzzi is not a good idea.
Could do with more dry towels.
Overall it was a good experience.

Excellent experience, really looked after us and even with the language barrier were kind and considerate. They were extra nice to my nervous 14 year old grand daughter making it very special

It was busy and abit unorganised and rushed through. The best part was the massage. It did not feel like a v.i.p experience more like get in get out.

The worst possible spa experience I have ever had in my life! Couldn’t think of anything worse! It’s like an airport - where they just treat you like a food manufacturing business! had a hamman spa - and just left us for 20 minutes - flys came running onto us! Jacuzzi had dirty water and dirty bits inside! The sauna was outdated and looked like it’s about to break down! Honestly spend more and go better! We thought we was going to the cleopatra one which is what we booked - but ended up at this sondos spa where the workers would happily laugh and snigger at you! No professionalism at all! The lockers look like they were about to fall apart - I’ve honestly never seen anything like it! Soon as you enter it’s a group full of men - can be very daunting especially if you are going with your other half! Avoid like the plague

First, I want to say that the ladies that took care of us were absolutely awesome. They are VERY skilled in their profession and this booking is a great value. Here is why I couldn’t rate it 5 stars. There is NO privacy whatsoever between men and women. Normally when I get a massage (or take a BATH for that matter) I do not wear clothes. In this case, fortunately I did wear a bathing suit, but there was a part where I had to shower off, and I removed my bathing suit. During this time, men were walking through the area as if it were nothing. I was horrified. There should either be specific notes stating that this is a CO-ED experience so that people know how to dress, or men and women should be separated. Considering this is a culture where women have to be completely covered, I never expected this invasion of privacy.

For myself and my partner the Issues started from the offset.
We booked the experience for 4pm on a Thursday afternoon but on the Wednesday evening I received a message from the Transfer company stating that they'd be picking us up at 8:45am and that there would be no afternoon transfer. We stated that we booked for 4pm which the transfer company refused to acknowledge and eventually the hotel manager kindly provided us with private taxi's to and from the venue location.
With this issue resolved we got to our venue, and had our sessions of 10 min Sauna, 10 min Steam room, 10 min Jacuzzi and we had a coconut scrub and chocolate mask which lasted about 25 mins from that point things went extremely down hill.
We went straight into the most painful massage myself and my partner have ever had. The massage was supposed to be a Full body aroma massage not a deep tissue massage. Most of the time it felt like the masseuse was just trying to rub the oil into my body and he was using his elbows, palms and fists to pound my body to mush, my partner also felt she received the same punishment.
The VIP experience was also supposed to include a 45 minute Cleopatra face mask with Green mud, which we never received and the experience also advertised free time for the salt cave, sauna, jacuzzi and steam bath, but we were rushed out of the door straight after our experience. The experience is advertised as 3 hours but we were in and out in around an hour and 20 mins.
When changing out of our clothes there is a venue rep who stands with you in the changing room and helps you get changed which is very awkward and uncomfortable. When asking to fill in the feedback form, the person at the front desk just stood right above us as I completed the form making you feel obliged to provide positive feedback.
At any cost, please avoid this experience.

Great experience- communication was good leading up to the reservation, hotel pickup and drop off was smooth, and the spa experience was wonderful. Would definitely do this again, thank you!

It was very nice with all the treatments we got and they made a lot out of all of them. All the people there were very kind. The scrubbing and massage were very careful and vigorous, a very relaxing experience. When we come back to Hurghada again we will go to this Sondos Turkish bath and spa again.
