The history background and tour of the doge was so interesting and Valentina was amazing! Had great knowledge of all the paintings and rooms

The Cathedral is majestic. The crowds were terrible. I paid for a guided tour but could not find the meeting place, so I walked through it in 10 minutes by myself.

Strong recommendation. The Basilica is a must see and skipping the queue to get in is definitely worthwhile
Our guide was Valentina - top marks. Excellent guide; something that particularly stood out to us was that we were delayed going into the Basilica by a guard shift change but Valentina was prepared. She pivoted to tell us some of the history of the Campanile tower for several minutes, that we don't think is a set part of the guided tour. Very knowledgeable about the Basilica and very good delivery in English.

The guide was very knowledgeable and approachable; she was very happy to share her knowledge and obviously loved her city of which she was very proud. The Basilica was extremely busy with too many people ; it was impossible to appreciate it fully as you were unable to find any peace or quiet even in the area theoretically left aside for that purpose.

Valentina lead such a great Tour, organised to perfection skilfully negotiating the queues full of school children to quickly get inside and through bag drop. Her knowledge was excellent, bringing not just the history of the Doge’s Palace but the whole of Venice to life. This really made us feel connected to Venice and all the other sights during our trip.

Ricardo was informative and a good tour guide. We got a bang for our buck. I thought it was going to be a brief description of Venice but it’s was a nice tour, gondola ride and virtual history lesson.
