The coastline of the Akamas is one of the most beautiful in Cyprus.
When you rent a boat you will have many different bays to explore and sights to see along the way. Some of the highlights are described below, although there are also many more bays which are not listed here.
St Georges Island
This island is located around 800 meters offshore from St George’s Reef. On the surface the barren volcanic outcrop is home to multiple species of seabirds, while below the surface the island is home to a vast array of marine life including tuna, groupers, trumpet fish and octopus.
Secret Beach
Swim through the cave or around the rocks to this hidden sandy beach, but it’s a secret so don’t tell anyone!

Manolis Bay
Manolis was a fisherman, to be more precise a dynamite fisherman. According to local legend this is where he gave up fishing permanently...
As you enter this bay you will notice that the water has taken on a beautiful blue colour, this is due to the fine white sand on the seabed. As you progress into the bay you will see the caves and jumbled rocks that make this bay so interesting, when snorkeling look out for the large family of trumpet fish that have made this bay their home and observe the way they change colour relative to their environment.
The Blue Lagoon
The most popular bay in the whole of Cyprus, as soon as you arrive you will be dazzled by the beautiful white sandy bottom and crystal clear turquoise water. The stunning chamili islet provides an impressive habitat for many types of marine life and excellent snorkeling. This bay is a definite must!
Fontana Amorosa
There are still four visible cutouts in the rocks for docking boats and its location provides shelter from the prevailing wind, a perfect place to stop for awhile. Look underwater and as you might expect from a harbour you will find some rubbish, but ancient rubbish in the form of amphora. Some are said to be offerings to the gods, whereas others are clearly from shipwrecks. Most of these have now fused into the rocks and have become homes to various types of marine life.
Arnaoutis Beach
Situated at Cyprus’s western most point, this golden sandy beach is an ideal spot for a picnic and its seclusion makes it an ideal place to get away from it all. From here you will see the offshore reef which is 8km from Latchi harbour and a turnaround point for your trip along the coast.

Really excellent from the beginning to the end . Staff knowledgable friendly helpful and skilled . Our first time taking a boat out without a skipper so a tad nervous. Induction brief very good.
Boat small and comfortable and perfect for the two of us. Detailed map provided and what was very good was that they have staff patrolling up and down the water in their own rescue boat who check in throughout the day offering helpful advice and support
We found Fontana cove the best mainly because there was no one else there . Blue lagoon is very beautiful but busy with large tour boats and lots of small boats .
Water is crystal clear and some lovely fish in Fontana bay
Cool box provided and you can buy ice

The service was excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the boat was exactly what I wanted. The one negative issue I had was with regards to fuel charge. According to their website they are supposed to show the client at tge start of the hire that the fuel is full, and then refuel in the presence of the client at the end of hire. No such thing happened. There's no fuel gauge on the dashboard and I had to take their word for it that the fuel was full when I set out for a four hour rental. When I returned the boat they instructed me to go and wait in the office while they sailed away to refuel the boat. They then presented me with a bill of €46, which at market value of €1.60 per litter would mean I burned 29 litres. Considering that the engine was off for at least 2 hours of the rental time, while we swam and sunbathed I think I was ripped off. For comparison, I rented for tge 4 days in Cyprus. I drove 850 km. I filled up 52 litres of fuel over the duration if my car rental, yet here I'm supposed to believe I consumed 29 litres?

Had a fabulous experience with the team here. Booked at relatively short notice via email and the customer service from Kat was great - making good recommendations to make our booking meet our expectations and needs. Arrived and had an induction from Craig and then Pippa - both very knowledgeable and friendly.
The boat was great, very responsive. I’d opt for a larger engine size in future but there were no issues at all for our needs. We were a group of 4 and had plenty of space on board.
The views and space were stunning - the lagoons were great for swimming and it was a great way to see them. We went early in the season so it was relatively quiet, which was nice.
Timing wise, we had a four hour booking, which was the least I’d want in hindsight. Anything less would be too rushed to see/swim etc
The company were very pragmatic and helpful, fuel costings were fair, and the whole process was dead easy.
Would definitely recommend and use again.

One of the best experiences during your stay in Cyprus! Highly recommended! The staff was very friendly, gave detailed instructions on how to act in any case. 4 hours of sailing is enough, but we would have liked to have spent more time like that, because it was really fun. Fun entertainment at an affordable price: 138 EUR for the boat rental and 26 EUR for the fuel used. It's really worth it!

We could not have been happier with the service at Latchi Watersports Centre. We received a thorough briefing from their friendly and knowledgable staff member (Harry if I remember his name right!) who talked us through the various areas we could visit. They gave us an ice box and snorkels and our time only started when we were safely out of the harbour (the staff drive you out to sea to get through the tricky part for you). We intended to do 2-hours self drive only but luckily we were able to extend to almost 4 hours by calling on the radio, as the boat was available, and there is plenty to see out there! The staff are so lovely and really go out of their way to help, the boat was in great condition and it was great value for money. They also have patrols out to make sure everyone is safe. Highly recommend.

A great 4 hours sailing along the Latchi coastline. Latchi waters ports were very professional and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. There was a safety boat within easy reach of us who would help if needed to anchor and find the best spots.
Would a 100% recommend this experience and we will definitely be doing this again.

We hired a self-drive boat last week - Matti, our instructor, was absolutely brilliant! He was friendly, informative, safety-conscious and gave us loads of detail.
Sadly, one of our family had severe sea-sickness so we had to return early. However, upon our return, the staff couldn't have done more for us. John was particularly kind showing great concern and spending lots of time with the patient.
It seems a highly efficient and safe organisation, with plenty of staff. Although it didn't work out for us, I would highly recommend Latchi Watersports. Thank you for your help, John and Matti!
