Please arrive between 5:35 - 5:45pm to receive the whole VIP experience, such as early boarding and front row reserved seating for the Dukes of Dixieland! Pose for a photo as you board -- you'll receive a print as a souvenir of this exclusive experience that can only be booked through Viator.
Uniformed ship staff will greet you with a Champagne cocktail. Then, follow your guide on an exclusive private tour of the boat. Feel free to ask questions and take photos as you tour the magnificent riverboat.

Afterward, take your reserved seat and listen to the live jazz band, Dukes of Dixeland. As you listen to the Grammy-nominated group play, enjoy a shrimp cocktail. Then load up on scrumptious Louisiana favorites including tossed salads, chicken and sausage gumbo, creole vegetarian jambalaya, rice, baked chicken, bayou seafood pasta, paddlewheel primavera, herb-garlic fingerling potatoes, green beans almondine, white chocolate bread pudding, bananas foster, and vanilla ice cream. Upgrade to receive all the luxuries of the original tour, but include an open bar (call brand select cocktails, beer and house wine) for the entire duration of the cruise. Then sit back, relax, and delight in captivating night views of New Orleans as you cruise along the Mississippi for two hours.

Our host Bridgette was a true star from arrival to end she made sure we had a fabulous time. The VIP experience was great from meeting Captain Steve for a tour of the boat to the reserved table to watch the jazz band! We had a reserved table all night to enjoy the buffet food and the open bar where Bridgette ensured our glasses were never empty!

Fun way to spend an evening. The VIP was totally worth the money. Bridgette was an exceptional hostess. Really enjoyed the tour by Captain.

We opted for the VIP ticket and are so glad we did. We boarded early and were greeted with champagne. Next, we were taken to reserved seating to enjoy the jazz band, which was fantastic, and shrimp cocktail. The band took a break as we were led to the dining room, where Cesar salads awaited us. This was followed by chicken and sausage gumbo. We were fortunate to have been assigned a table at the back window in front of the paddle wheel. We left the dock about that time. We were able to watch the scenery as we ate and jump up for pictures on the deck as often as we wanted - which was often! Dinner was buffet style, but was fully replenished with each seating. Everyone was assigned a seating time so that there were no lines for food. The food was better than the average buffet and included something for everyone - beef, chicken, seafood and plenty of side dishes. The bread pudding dessert was outstanding. After dinner, we were treated to a tour of the sternwheeler by Captain Steve, whose 50 year tenure provided lots of good stories. Upon our return to our table, we found a goodie bag of souvenirs and the printed photo taken before boarding. Our server/host, Marlon, was very attentive and made sure to get pictures of us as the sun was setting behind. I highly recommend this tour on the Mississippi. It was a highlight of our visit to New Orleans.

So hear about the famous Southern Hospitality, Gina our hostess really did live up to that. Gina made the whole experience easy and really enjoyable. The tour was fantastic, the music was great and the food was excellent. Highly recommended it. 👌

The VIP experience with Marlon was fantastic. He took care of every need. Including pictures! Food was delicious. The tour with Captain Steve was entertaining and informative! Very nice evening!

Everything was great. Our hostess Bridgette was the best! I would recommend this to anyone. Front row seats for the Jazz band was excellent!

The initial meet and greet from our friendly host Gina, who took us up to the sun deck for champagne, cocktails and live jazz, was great.
Unfortunately, due to overbookings we did not get to watch the jazz band over dinner in the VIP area but instead right at the back of the boat by the paddle. Our host was great throughout the evening and very apologetic for the less than satisfactory experience.
Whilst she did her best to compensate with extra drinks etc, regrettably, our initial VIP experience turned into a 'just another punter' disappointment for the second half

It was a great event and I enjoyed it; I wish they have more options for the food menu and contingency plan in case of a rain, would have been nice.
