a. first impression: • general : from the first moment we had contact with Aclass, we have been treated good, friendly, helpful and appropriately. An email that we sent was often responded within an hour. • cleanliness and tidiness: the ship appears clean, neat and well maintained. • cabin : our executive suite with private sun terrace was, in one word, fantastic. Just a wow moment. Also the cabin looked clean, tidy and in a good condition. b. ship facilities • Restaurant : yes • Swimming pool : yes. It's not too big, but big enough to provide some cooling. • Shop : unknown • Internet options : limited. This is not due to the ship. But, the environment probably has too few transmission towers or repeaters. • Bar : yes. • Laundry service : unknown • Business center : unknown • Fitness room : small • 3 hole golf course : yes • Massage and Spa : yes c. Breakfast/brunch and breakfast room: The room where breakfast and brunch were served looks neat and clean. There is plenty of space inside, but you can also enjoy breakfast or brunch outside. We never had breakfast but enjoyed brunch every day. The brunch is a buffet. The brunch was so delicious that we looked forward to it every morning. The staff was friendly, correct and helpful. d. Cabin: • space : very spacious • cleanliness / cleaning : as far as we could see, the cabin was clean and tidy • telephone : unknown. • LCD television : yes, but not used. • satellite television : unknown • minibar : yes • safe : yes, very spacious. • air conditioning : yes • radio alarm clock : unknown • WiFi : yes, but its operation is limited. • wall sockets : sufficient to simultaneously charge 2 mobile phones, 3 batteries and a laptop. • storage space : this is the first minus for us. There is little storage space. This is understandable because most guests stay for 3 days and therefore do not have much luggage with them. But we stayed 5 days and then you will miss out some closet space. • other facilities : the room has a spacious balcony with a large double bed lounger and two armchairs with a table. e. bathroom (washing facilities / shower/toilet) • space : the bathroom does not consist of one space. The sink and the bath are located in the living and sleeping area. In addition, the shower has it’s own space and the toilet has the same. • cleanliness / cleaning : no comments. * washing facilities : as previously written, the sink is located in the living room sleeping area and consists of only a washbasin. This is for us the second minus of the room. We like everything to display everything we need in the morning. So that we don't have to search for it every morning in the toiletry bag. And that displaying is not possible. • facilities : everything you normally need is there. • toilet : the toilet is located in a separate room and is self- cleaning. • hairdryer : yes • shower/bath : separate. So you don’t have to shower from out of the bath. It is a rain shower. Unfortunately there is none regular shower in the shower room to rinse off. f. restaurant The ship serves dinner in two locations either on the pool deck or in the breakfast/brunch area. During our stay they serve dinner on deck. We used a table in the bar. Regarding dinner, you have two choices: you can use the buffet or you can optain for the a la carte menu where you can also use the buffet. We used the a la carte option. The food was, in one word, excellent. We enjoyed the food every evening. My wife doesn't like fish at all. She was served an equivalent meat menu every evening. g. personal and service : excellent. Our butler Eric did everything he could to make our stay unforgettable and he succeeded. Jay acted as a kind of tour director and he also ensured that our stay was great. And at the office, Mr. Tran helped us in a very friendly manner. There are so many names that have done excellent work behind the scenes. h. language : English. One speaks better English than the other. Our butler Eric was sometimes somewhat difficult to understand. But, this was partly because we are from the Netherlands and he is from Vietnam, so neither of us are native English speakers. i. tip : Use the private limousine service. In terms of travel time, it saves half an hour to 45 minutes. You will have a spacious seat and you will be picked up from your hotel on time. We are happy that we opted for this service at the very last minute. j. comment(s): Because we stayed on board for five days, after the third day we would get the same food as the first day. Suddenly we were given completely different food than the other guests. The explanation was that we were on board for five days and did not have to eat the same thing twice. If that's not service. Nice excursions are also organised. I have to say that the hike to the top of a mountain in Cat Ba N.P. is not suitable for everyone. You really need to be in reasonable fitness. k. valuation : excellent. We took the cruise because we have been together for 40 years. In two years we will have been married for 40 years and we will try to fit the cruise into the trip we want to make.

Star of the Sea cruise!! My wife and I had an amazing experience!! The staff made the trip, with a special shout out to Helen (Quynh), who went out of her way to accomodate us, and arrange a special surprise for our 30th wedding anniversary. With a special thanks to James and Tin for making the excursions so comfortable and informative!!

Upon the Stellar of the Seas, we glide, Treated as kings, on this celestial ride. A banquet feast, a regal delight, With rose petals, a welcome bright. Rooms adorned, in luxury's embrace, Ha Long's beauty, a scenic grace. Comfort found in every nook, As nature's spectacle we took. Boo, our guardian, ever near, Anticipating needs, dispelling fear. In this haven, our worries cease, On Stellar of the Seas, we find our peace.

The views were great and the staff was so friendly. Alex was our butler and he was absolutely amazing! He gave us so many tips about Vietnam and taught us many things about the culture. He definitely made our experience better!

Very relaxing trip after years of lockdown. The trip was make memorable, it was Valentines day and we were given beautiful red roses. Thank you so much Ms. Tracy, Boo ( our very attentive butler) and Jay (our guide and photographer). We did enjoy their company. Keep it up. Hope to come back in the future.

James, Robin, Lily and Helen were truly remarkable hosts. We were spoilt from the moment we stepped foot onto the boat. 5* hospitality! Jay and Tin took us on 2 incredible trips around Cat Ba. Well worth every minute spent on board. Felt like royalty - very sad to leave on the 3rd day! Food, room and bedding, actually everything just impeccable!

The cruise was very good, comfort pumpering rooms, amazing food (lots of it), very clean, and very sweet staff that took care of everything we needed and more. Especially Eric which was with us the whole cruise and was always attentive and eager to help and Tin the tour guid that tought us about the area and the history in a nice way and through personal experience. But all the crew including the crew manager and were always about making our trip fun and comfortable. I would recommend for people who don't like kayaking to just enjoy on the ship, the view and the deck is perfect enough ;)

We had a fabulous time in Ha long Bay and a large part of this was down to the fantastic Stellar staff. We were incredibly fortunate to have had Alice as our butler/friend who so happily looked after us throughout our 3 day/2 night cruise. She was an absolute gem together with Jay, James, Helen, Tin and the rest of the wonderfully warm and welcoming team aboard the Stellar. The sleek vessel, the luxurious cabins, the many amenities, the fun activities, the delicious cuisine and the exceptional service on board was quite phenomenal. Thank you all!

Fantastic service and beautiful cruise. We did the 2 day one night cruise and enjoyed the ambience and not to mention the beautiful Ha long bay experience. Food was nice and cabins were lovely . Just a slight word of advice when buying the wine will set you back a bit. We bought a $12 bottle of wine valued in Aust and it cost us $173.00 dollars so just be wary when the waiter shows you the menu.

I am now ending my time on Stellar of the Seas and I could not have asked for a better experience. This was luxury all the way. I had an amazing butler, Alice, who took care of me and any needs I had. She was very attentive and ensured that I was fully attended to. The food was plentiful and very high quality. You will not go hungry on this cruise. The ship was very clean, the beds were comfortable and I slept like a baby. The customer service experience is top-notch. In particular, in addition to Alice, I'd like to recognize Tracey, Tin, and Jay. I was traveling solo, but I never felt alone and they made me feel so welcome. I highly recommend Stellar of the Seas for cruising Halong Bay!
