Stop At: Stonehenge, Salisbury SP4 7DE England
Stonehenge
Over 5,000 years of history is waiting to be discovered by us at the prehistoric site at Stonehenge. Built on the windswept Salisbury Plain by our Neolithic ancestors, Stonehenge is a site that has courted controversy and stirred opinion for hundreds of years.
Explore over 250 ancient objects on display at the world-class visitor centre. Discover the tools and everyday objects of Neolithic life, and come face-to-face with a 5,500-year-old man and ancient human remains.
Decipher the mystery of Stonehenge using an interactive audio guide exclusive to Evan Evans. Learn who built it and why, as well as how it was constructed using rudimentary equipment made of wood and stone.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Windsor, Windsor, Windsor and Maidenhead, Berkshire, England
Windsor is a town on the River Thames in southeast England, just west of London. It’s home to Windsor Castle, a residence of the British Royal Family. Built by William The Conqueror in the 11th century, the castle was extensively remodelled by subsequent monarchs. Public tours take in the State Apartments, which contain opulent furnishings, and paintings from the royal art collection.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Windsor Castle, Castle Hill, Windsor SL4 1PD England
The other stop on our tour is Windsor, home to Windsor Castle, the ancestral home of the British monarchy and the largest occupied castle in the world.
As you walk around the impressive grounds, it is almost hard to believe that successive kings and queens have been living here for over 900 years. You'll see why this beautiful castle was a favoured weekend residence of Queen Elizabeth II.
Inside the State Apartments, you will have the chance to explore the same rooms used today by The King and members of the Royal Family. The rooms here were intended to rival the Palace of Versailles in France, and paintings by renowned artists such as Rembrandt and Rubens adorn the walls.
Set within the grounds of Windsor Castle, St George's Chapel is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in England. Construction of the present Chapel began in 1475 under the reign of Edward IV. When visiting make sure you look up and admire the stone ceiling, which was added by Henry VII. *entry option

Tour was excellent! Cameron was a great guide- good commentary but also some quiet time to rest/nap during longer drives. Terrence was a good drivers. Bus seats were very comfortable and USB charging and wifi are nice extras. The Windsor/Stonehenge tour allowed plenty of time at both sites. We had 2 hrs at Stonehenge and 3 hrs at Windsor. Only complaint was the bathroom on board. I realize it’s a last resort but I got soap on my hands then couldn’t figure out the sink. It either needs more clear instructions or a sign that it doesn’t work with a bottle of hand sanitizer.

My family and I had a great time visiting Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. Cameron our tour guide was awesome! He was funny and charming while pointing out many interesting things along the way. Our bus driver, Terrance also did a fantastic job getting us there. Stonehenge was amazing as well as Windsor Castle. Glad we chose to visit just the two stops on our tour. Loved having time to walk around and enjoy the sites without being too rushed!

Awe inspiring to see the stones and got a little choked up to see Elizabeth and Philip’s resting place. Many facts, especially loved the insider info on the whitewashed coats of arms (SCANDALOUS!!) 10/10 would recommend!

This was the perfect tour - enough time to explore each stop (although I could have spent a full day in Windsor!), and didn’t feel as rushed as other all days tours I’ve done. The guide Cameron was enthusiastic and entertaining, sharing fun facts and stories along the way. He was well organized and kept us on time. The driver Terrance was also great - I snoozed easily on the longer drives.

10/10. Definitely recommend only doing 2 stop tour as time will get tricky with 3. Don’t do it without the mullet brit, Cameron. He has been hands down the best guide. Very knowledgeable, chatty, and helpful.

Great 8 hour tour of Stonehenge and Windsor. Cameron, the guide, and Terrence the driver, were great - experienced, pleasant and knowledgeable. Can’t go wrong with them and with Evan Evan’s Tours.
