Pick up: Waikiki / Kahala (1 hour 30 mins before the sunrise)
1. Sunrise Hike at Makapu'u Lighthouse Trail (2 hours)
Hike up the Makapuu Lighthouse Trail for one of the best views of the sunrise on the island.
2. Halona Blowhole (15mins)
Enjoy the views of the the Halona Blowhole as it sprays out water from the Pacific Ocean as well as the Halona Cove, which is a small secluded beach often used in movies.
3. Sandy Beach (15mins)
Stop by at the iconic Sandy Beach and watch bodyboarders ride the powerful waves that break near the shoreline.

Jonah was our tour guide/driver, he was on time and took us to the park while explaining the important points on our way there. Gave us lanterns and showed us the way to the trail. It was a beautiful morning and the views were spectacular. It is a long hike for someone like me (I am in pretty bad shape) but I made it. Totally worth it.
Thanks Jonah for tips for breakfast and what to do afterwards. I really enjoyed this tour and recommend it.

We were picked up at the hotel at 5 am and taken to the entrance to the park. The driver was friendly and informative. He provided us with flashlights we used during the first part of the hike. This was an all uphill hike/walk on a paved path to an overlook above the lighthouse. We made it to the top before the sun came up. The views were beautiful. In addition to some nice views of the lighthouse, there were beautiful views of the coastline. We saw a rainbow and a couple of humpback whales. We stayed at the top a while then made the trip down. Our driver then took us for short stops to see Sandy Beach and also the Halona Blowhole. I'd book this activity again.

Stephanie was a great guide! She had flashlights for us. Climb was perfect. Not too hard but got the heart pumping. Sunrise was gorgeous. Wish they had a bathroom at the top. We would have hung out a little longer. BUT Stephanie took us to a bathroom and rode us to a few beaches telling us the history.
Would definitely do this again and recommend it. Even our teens said it was worth getting up before 5am.

My adult kids went on the hike and loved every minute. The guide also taught them about Hawaii, and they have been sharing ever since.

The view is simply amazing. At first was a little nervous because it was so dark. Our driver provided us with flashlights and it was well worth the experience. We had an amazing driver and told us a lot about our sites and took pictures also of us. Loved this experience

Even though it rained, this was a terrific experience! I recommend wearing good shoes and bringing a flashlight if you’re doing the sunrise hike. Our tour guide, Jonah was just wonderful! Very knowledgeable and a great sense of humor!!

It was a great hike, just a little cloudy. It was beautiful at the top! Not super steep… just the right amount of climbing!
