Marjorie was our guide. Since it would be a lot colder than expected, she brought not an open truck but a closed van with heating 😁. Very considered of her! The tour she did with us was full of foto opportunities and stories. We also went into the back country where you aren’t allowed without a guide. The tour exceeded our expectations!

My husband and I were so glad we booked a tour. It was his first time there and my first time doing a tour! The tour added so much to the trip. Marjory was amazing and we learned so much from her! Beautiful place! We took so many amazing pictures! Thank you Marjory!

Tribal Tours called the afternoon before our tour to confirm timings and pick up arrangements.
We had a great experience with Jameson. He collected us right on time from the KOA Campsite. There was some cloud cover initially, and he checked to ensure that we were likely to get a clear sunrise - he would have offered a later tour or a refund if not; a nice touch we thought.
The landscape was spectacular and we lucked out with a great sunrise. What was also nice is that Jameson took the time to explain Navajo culture and customs, as well as what life is like locally.
The whole tour exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended.

Predawn Sunrise Tour was magical, full of wonders and many tales of Navajo Culture narrated to us, including a song to invoke Spirits of Four Directions, by our guide Cheryl. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend doing a guided tour through monument valley. Our guide was Cheryl, very pleasant and knowledgeable of the landscape, Navajo traditions the importance of family and utilizing the land and animals, nothing goes to waste. The road is unpaved and bumpy (this reason alone is worth going on a guided tour), Cheryl took us to very interesting points in the valley. The sunrise tour was wonderful!

We went in the Monument Valley Sunrise tour and had a great experience. Carl did a great job of getting is to a viewpoint for sunrise. It was spectacular. He provided us with a great deal of history and context to the valley which was greatly appreciated. The tour was organized and well run with plenty of stops at interesting features. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to get off the beaten path and see some of the less familiar sites in the Valley. Great tour.

We went off the main road to see a wonderful sunrise, and unique arches and formations. Our guide explained the importance of the sacred beliefs of the Navajo people. He also gave interesting insights to his peoples’ lives. As much as those were important and revealing, we felt that he dwelled on some points excessively which created a feeling of “stretching” to fill time. Otherwise, it would have been 5 stars. Consider this a 4.5+ review. I was also glad we rode in their van rather than our car. The road, and especially the side roads, really require an off road, 4 wheel drive. We got tossed around quite a bit in their van. Yet, overall, a very interesting, enlightening, and enjoyable experience.

This was such an awesome tour and a great way to see Monument Valley Tribal Park. Our guide was Jameson who was informative and patient with our small group. We did decide to travel during off season additionally opted for a very early tour which allowed our group to have very few other visitors. There were no long lines or obstructed views from others trying to capture the beauty this place has to offer. Jameson shared about the history of the Navajo people, their current status in the U.S and overall day to day lifestyles. This tour is suitable for those of varying fitness levels but may feel less eventful for those seeking a full hiking experience. We drove through most of the park from attraction to attraction. Highly recommend packing layers if completing a morning tour as it will be chilly. Jameson showed us the perfect places to take photos and explained the meaning of all the messas. This was my second tour with Monument Valley Tribal Tours on my trip and I cannot wait to return to complete another tour with them.

Great opportunity to see parts of the reservation not available in the scenic drive (and not have to tackle the bumpy roads for the scenic drive). Marjory was great and very knowledgeable (and a dab hand with a iPhone camera too!) definitely worth doing.
