Þingvellir is a site of historical, geological and cultural importance to Icelanders. For centuries it was the site of the Alþingi, the oldest parliament in the world, before it was moved to Reykjavík. It is also a site of a rift valley caused by continental drift between the North American and Eurasian Plates. This unique geology offers interesting sites such as fissures with crystal clear waters that are popular with divers. Þingvellir is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Stop At: Geysir, Haukadalur Iceland
Geysir is one of the most famous hot springs in the world. All geysers in the world are named after it. It lies dormant at the moment, but its neighbour, Strokkur, goes off every 4-8 minutes, bursting up to 40 metres into the air.

Stop At: Gullfoss Waterfall, Blaskogabyggd 846 Iceland
Gullfoss is a waterfall that is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. It is about 32 m high and drops into a crevice about 20 m wide and 2, 5 km in length. Gullfoss carries a lot of sediments that glacial ice has carved off the earth and colors the water slightly brownish.

Stop At: Langjokull Glacier, Iceland
Langjökull (The Long Glacier) is Iceland's second largest glacier. Volcanically the region is relatively quiet. It is one of the most popular glaciers for outdoor activities like snowmobiling and ice cave hunting. This is our base for our snowmobile explorations!

We did the Golden Circle tour with Snowmobiling which was an amazing day. Bart, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable and was an incredibly good driver. It can be daunting going up the mountain and it can be very bouncy (take travel sickness tablets if you're anything like me), but Bart made me feel confident in his skills the entire time. All the gear was provided and even though it was windy and snowy on the mountainside, I didn't feel that cold. The snowmobile could be a little challenging to handle but we had a good amount of time on it and got some amazing photos.
The whole trip was organised really well and I felt like we got a good amount of time in each location. The car was also really comfortable and it was always a small group so it felt nice and relaxed. Would recommend!

Burt was our driver and tour guide. He was amazing!
I strongly recommend this unique experience. The group was small so we have not much delay on waiting people that were slow.

Amazing tour! Bart our tour guide and driver was simply wonderful! He kept us safe on the off roading and the whole tour. He was a professional and also shared his wealth of knowledge of Iceland throughout the tour! I highly recommend this tour when in Iceland.

What a fantastic day! Our tour guide Bart was very informative, he taught us all about Icelandic speed limits! He pushed the limits off road which was hilarious! Such a fun day! We really enjoyed the food at the base camp we visited. Thanks Bart 🙃

Our trip with Bart was fantastic. Sadly the snowmobiling element was cancelled due to poor weather, but Bart made sure to fit in a trip to see some very friendly Icelandic horses and he even ploughed a new road so we could see a beautiful little church by the lake. We had every kind of weather but each hike we did revealed something spectacular. Thanks to Bart and the Super Jeep!
