Knowledgeable' Diego with a unique knack to share, prepared us magnificently at the beginning for our trek through the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and the St. Peter's. We were thus well-armed with his amazing carefully shared information and his wonderful Sistine Chapel handout for our once-in-a-lifetime visit and the priceless quarter of an hour with Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel. Not only this, but Diego looked out for us and our needs--even making sure we were carefully taken care of for our afternoon tour. And bless Fedrico with the afternoon tour who pressed on with his amazing knowledge-sharing during the Rome torrential downpour! He kept track of us and kept going as long as we were willing, giving a helpful capstone explanation about the sight when he could see we were all drowned and needed hot cocoa and dry clothes!

Tour guide was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the Vatican. The use of the headsets were great and the first time for me. It was nice because you didn’t have to be right near her to hear what she was saying. The Colosseum tour was amazing! Roman architecture is breathtaking! This tour, in-line many others allowed us to be on the floor of the Colosseum, it was a much different perspective than being on the perimeter. The tour guide we had for the second half was also very knowledgeable, he said he was an archeologist, and was able to answer all our questions. We met interesting people on the tour and were able to reconnect after the tour was over and in the next city.

We had a great tour of Forum, Palatine Hill and the Colosseum. Our small group met at the Tour Office and we walked firstly down into the Forum. It rained a little and an Umbrella was necessary. There were "cheap" umbrellas on sale for 5 Euro - and slightly dearer umbrellas for a negotiated 8 euro. Get the dearer one as one of the Tour bought the cheaper one and it lasted only to the top of Palatine Hill (20 minutes?). The tour took us through the forum, up Palatine Hill and then to the Colosseum. Being on the main arena floor and looking up is really worthwhile. You can only stay for 20 minutes and then the tour progresses up into the stands. There is a lift for those less mobile. The tour was a highlight. Loved Rome!!!

Our guide for the Vatican tour was Diego, a lovely man who explained everything thoroughly and made sure the group was together before moving on. Made the tour engaging and responded heartily to questions asked. Also made sure everybody could see what was going on and was very friendly when guiding us. For the Colosseum tour, our guide, Dennis, was similar and made the experience enjoyable. Made sure to keep eye contact with us at all times to ensure we were listening and kept us engaged. Knew the attraction well and even threw in his own personal opinion at times! Both tours were very fun and taught us a lot about these places in Rome. Could’ve been better if we had time to check out the gift shop so we could purchase souviers though. Overall, a great experience!

So first of all, these two tours should not be grouped together. They were a lotbto absorb and if someone chose to do both so be it, but it was too long as a whole. They are two seperate tours which we had to arrange transport ourselves to each one. Both tour guides, while they knew their material, their Italian accent was very strong and they both spoke at the group instead of to them. I could hear other guides not doing this. The Vatican Tour wait was ashame as we watched City Wonders groups walk in ahead of us. The Colosseum tour would have been much better if at first we didn't have to walk 15 minutes extra just to get to the tour office, then wait there for at least 30 to 40 minutes while they straightened everything out.

Tour was amazing. Even though there was a lot of people at the sites, the guide made it easy and you really felt relaxed to enjoy the experience. Finding the office for the afternoon tour was a little challenging. Our tour guide Diego was very knowledgeable and personable.

A guided tour which shows you all MUST-SEE sights in Rome in one day. We skipped the lines in the Vatican and the Colosseum and we had two good professional qualified Rome guides, Flavia for the Vatican in the morning and Diego for the Colosseum, Palatino and Forum in the afternoon. It includes the highlights of all sites above, without being too long or boring with many details. Both tours were done with headsets, which is also good. We started with no delays for them both. We exited the Vatican around 12.00 and we had to be at the meeting point for the second tour at 13.00, so make sure you don't spend much time shopping or having lunch for a long time, otherwise, you'll miss the second tour for the Colosseum, Palatino and Forum.
One piece of advice: We did not know that the main street by our meeting point for the Colosseum, Via Imperiale, is closed to traffic on the weekends, so we took a taxi and it could not take us too close to the meeting point. Better use the metro from the Vatican and get off in front of the Colosseum if it's a weekend. I do not think walking is feasible within the free time left between the 2 tours. The 2nd tour ended around 16.30, so it is a full day and one must be prepared for much walking and some climbing, but it is worth doing it.
I definitely recommend it and hope it always has as good guides as we had!
