Your wonderful day excursion begins with a comfortable hotel pick up in Shanghai, follow your guide travel to Suzhou with the transportation option you booked. If you book the fast train / bullet train option, you will enjoy an exciting 30-minute train ride to Suzhou. On the way, spend few mins to discuss with the guide for a tailor-made itinerary. As exclusive private tour, your itinerary is fully flexible and can be 100% customized around you. Following is the sample itinerary and you are welcome to tell your guide if need make adjustment during the tour.

Stop At: Humble Administrator's Garden, No.178 Northeast Road, Pingjiang District, Suzhou 215001 China
Upon arrival, visit one of the top four famous gardens in China-the Humble Administrator’s garden ,listed in the UNESCO World Heritage, immerse yourself in the charming and elegance of the ancient Chinese garden designed with the unique Taihu rockeries, delicate pavilions, ponds , beautiful flowers, lush greens ,150 Bonsais while learning the interesting history, culture, custom from your guide. If you prefer a more intimate garden, you could substitute to the other garden such as Master of Nets Garden, Lingering Garden, Lion Forest Garden etc.

Stop At: Pingjiang Road, Pingjiang District, Suzhou China
Next head to Pingjiang historic Road, here enjoy a leisure stroll along the stone paved canal streets, have fun explore the authentical water markets, appreciate the unique Jiangnan old architectures with traditional lanterns, step back to ancient history watching people dressed up dynasty costumes, if you like , choose to take a private rickshaw ride navigate in the old alleys to experience charms of old lifes.

Stop At: GuanQian TaiJian Nong BiFengFang, Guanqian Street, Suzhou China
After the wonderful morning activities, you will make the stop at Qianqian street, the infusion of ancient and modern pedestrian road that showcase city's vibrant culture and history, here take a break and savor a delightful local lunch with the recommedations from the guide.

Stop At: Tiger Hill, No.8 Huqiushan, Suzhou 215008 China
In the afternoon, head to Huqiu scenic area, take a leisure stroll in the historic park, admire the 1000 years old leaning pagoda surroundd by lush green park , see seasonal colors as peach blossom or foilage in different periods of the year along the mile long riverside.

Stop At: Shantang Street, Jinchang District, Suzhou 215008 China
Next continue to Wuzhong gate,embark the sightseeing boat ( Boat ticket included if " All Inclusive Package" is booked),cruise down the ancient grand canal while soaking up the picturesque water township scenery. Off the boat, hop on to China No.1 ancient street-Shantang street (Free entry) ,enjoy the dynamic cultural streets full of interesting arts, crafts, eateries while walking cross the “Fortune Bridge”, see acnient city wall and learn the loal custom, history from your expert guide.
As mentioned, the itinerary can be fully customized, if you prefer, you could also substitute the above-mentioned sites to the following other sites:
1) Panmen Scenic area;
2) Museums: Suzhou Museum, Suzhou Silk Museum, Garden Museum of Suzhou;
3)Temple: Hanshan Temple, Xiyuan Temple etc.
After the wonderful excursion, you will travel back to Shanghai with the convenient drop off at your downtown Shanghai hotel or other downtown area as per your requests.

We had an informative and fun time in Suzhou thanks to our wonderful guide Annie. Annie was Knowledgeable about the area and shared amazing facts about the area and culture. We learned so much! We love taking photos and she was great about letting us know the best places for photo ops.
Annie suggested a wonderful place for lunch and helped us with ordering our meal. It was delicious!
She was warm, personable, and had a great sense of humor. We made many impromptu stops along the way to sample hot chocolate take a lot of photos, but Annie still managed to keep us on track so that we wouldn’t miss our train.
I have done a fair amount of international traveling with different tour groups, and the experience you have may come down to the tour guide you have. We used Viator to book our tour, but no matter which tour company you make your tour reservations with, be sure to ask Annie.

If you are traveling to Shanghai and have some spare time the trip to Suzhou is easily captured in a day.
Travelling by Bullet train it is a fast and easy trip to Suzhou to experience life in another time surrounded by locals in ancient costume, the trip to visit the local town and travel by boat down heritage canals is worth doing. As English is not widely spoken, Sunny’s private tour made our experience easy to navigate and removed any stress around communication. Suzhou is a bustling town which can be quite overwhelming as it is a tourist hub for internal Chinese tourists so can be quite busy. I would recommend Sunny who had a vast knowledge of the local history of Suzhou.

This trip was one of the best I had in my entire time in China. The sights in Suzhou are truly beautiful, the experience of riding a bullet train is great, and the guide is amazing! My guide was Ruby, she had great knowledge, was extremely nice and helpful, and was overall a great person! :)
I can 100% recommend this tour to anyone!

We loved our private day tour with Ruby. My husband and I were visiting Shanghai and Suzhou for the first time, and the entire tour was incredible. Ruby was super prompt to pick us up from our hotel lobby, and she created a wonderful itinerary for us. I had requested if we could see Shantang street in the evening and I sent a teahouse I had seen online as a potential stop during our trip, and she made sure to personalize our tour to all of our requests. They even accommodated a later start time in order to let us see Suzhou at night.
Ruby's personality was super friendly and approachable, and she made sure to give us a ton of context on the history and background of many of the sites we saw. I'm so glad we had her along to get a much deeper level of understanding of the history behind Suzhou. At the end of the evening, she brought us to a restaurant that had the most delicious shenjianbao I've ever had in my life. At the end, she made sure that we got back to Shanghai in one piece, and even had a driver send us back to our hotel. Would definitely recommend her tour to anyone!

The tour was great, we had fun. Feifei, our beautiful tour guide was the most engaging, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and patient guide we have ever had. Ruby was a fantastic guide who picked us up from the lobby area of our hotel. She was warm welcoming and friendly and put us at ease straight away. We took the bullet train to Suzhou which was a quick and memorable way to transport out of Shanghai. We went to private gardens, through canals, stopped for food which was the best meal of our trip and finally took a canal boat. Ruby is an excellent guide, really friendly, knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The trip was certainly made better in her company and the trip was very well organised.
If you are in Shanghai and want to experience more of what China has to offer then we would highly recommend taking this tour as we’d now like to explore other parts of China.

Annie was fabulous!!! Our tour of Suzhou was everything we expected and more!!Annie took special care of us from pickup @ drop off @ the hotel she was so knowledgeable about Chinese culture, I walked away, feeling like an expert in Chinese history..

We bought a last-minute day trip and couldn’t be any happier with the service provided as well as the customization needed to avoid large crowds on a Friday- we went to a different garden instead. Sunny is very lovely and we enjoyed our trip and her guide very much. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in getting a private experience!

Nice trip with my tour leader guide Sunny .we saw beautiful garden, shopping around for fun and very enjoyable boat ride in the ancient ,delicious lunch! Driver is also very nice in suzhou always on time to take us to next spot car is very clean and comforable,driver also friendly. Bullet train is also efficient and fast from Shanghai and back to Shanghai. A wonderful day out.
