Itinerary
The experience begins with a briefing in which will give all the advice on interaction with dolphins and ways of behaving in the sea in order to make the most of this experience. We will make a brief trip to meet these friendly animals previously located by our team of lookouts. Then, its time for the interaction, the whole process will be carefully avaluated to ensure that the animals are comfortable and available to share his habitat with us. It will be a wonderfull experience and certainly one of the best memories of your visit to the Azores. The return to land will be done in order to enjoy fully the landscapes of the coast line of our island.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Our skipper ( marine biologist) and first mate were completely above all our expectations.

Beyond anything I could have expected. Breath taking. Literally couldn’t catch my breath! We swam with wild dolphins! Marine biologist and first mate were so very professional. Without a doubt, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing experience!!! Guide was awesome get on a zodiac boat which was a fun ride and beautiful views of coastline. We were able to jump in two times to swim near dolphins! The water is dark blue absolutely gorgeous

Very adventurous! Saw a few dozen dolphins. The crew was highly experienced and nice. But compared to doing this somewhere like Hawaii, this isn't an easy task in the Azores. You have to be quick to jump in and spot them swimming by (easier from the boat) and the seas may be rough. If you like adventure, go for it. If you're not sure, maybe just do the "watching" version on the bigger boat.

My boyfriend and I used this company for the whale watching and swimming with dolphins tour and both were incredible thanks to the picos de aventura team. All of the members were very friendly and gave clear and informative briefings and descriptions throughout the tours. The dolphin swimming tour was especially well done as the team was very clearly respectful of the animals in the way they carried out the activity. I could not recommend this company more.

Amazing experience - we went as a family of 4, with 2 teens. We were able to enter the water with the dolphins 3 times. In each case, the dolphins swam right under or around us - which was amazing and very memorable. The tour operators help you enter the water to minimize the splash and avoid scaring the dolphins. If you are not comfortable using a snorkel, I recommend using a mask only so you do not waste any time fiddling with the equipment. The crew positions the boat slightly ahead of the dolphin pod, so by the time you are in the water, they pass by you very quickly - each interaction is over in a few seconds. But very much worth it, especially for a dolphin lover!

Magical experience. The team was super organised and made clear instructions. The ocean was crystal clear and warm and seeing the dolphins swim past under us was incredible.

Seeing dolphins was incredibly memorable! We saw pods of common dolphins and bottlenose dolphins. On our trip, every person got in the water and saw dolphins at least two times. My first time in the water, I had a very clear view of dolphins swimming below me. The second time, I saw the dolphins as they swam away. It was also possible to see the dolphins from the boat, as the dolphins came very close and we could see them breaching the water multiple times. I captured many memorable photos of this. I do not spend much time around the ocean and so was a bit apprehensive at first about the "swimming" aspect, but as the boat went out into the water I became more and more comfortable, and safety precautions were taken. Getting into and out of the water was not too difficult, and there were instructions about this. I'm very glad I had this experience -- it was beautiful to witness dolphins up close and I will always remember it!
